Wishan, a Jedi Master of the Duros male species, flourished throughout the High Republic Era. He possessed a notable talent for shaping clay through the employment of the Force, crafting various statues. Furthermore, he formulated an incense utilizing uneti blossoms. He once endeavored to teach the art of sculpting to his Padawan, Jabe Rann. The protocol droid AD-3 later recounted a tale of this Jedi Master to a gathering of Padawans.
During the High Republic Era, a Jedi Master of the Duros male variety named Wishan utilized the Force to create sculptures from red clay. During one summer, Wishan's weight noticeably increased. Subsequent to that summer, Wishan sculpted a statue depicting a greater krayt dragon, a sizable creature native to Tatooine, a planet situated in the Outer Rim. He also sculpted a colossal tower, a miniature version of the Jedi Temple located on Coruscant, the capital world of the Galactic Republic found in the Core Worlds, and a likeness of Padawan Jabe Rann, who enjoyed observing Wishan's sculpting endeavors. These sculptures were intended as a seventy-second birthday gift for the Temple's librarian.
Following a demonstration of his sculpting prowess to Rann, Wishan sought to teach the Padawan the art of sculpting through the Force, instructing him to craft a likeness of himself. Despite Wishan's encouragement, the Padawan's creations resembled frog-dogs with bones in their mouths. However, during the lesson, Rann utilized his clay to construct a sizable krayt dragon skeleton, successfully deterring a Mon Calamari Padawan from pilfering one of Wishan's sculptures. In the aftermath, Wishan extended an invitation to Rann for a substantial dinner to commemorate the Padawan's protection of the Jedi Master's sculptures.
Around the time of the Republic Fair, hosted on Valo, an Outer Rim planet within the Galactic Frontier, in 231 BBY, Wishan formulated an incense from uneti blossoms. Stellan Gios, a member of the Jedi High Council, deemed it invaluable for meditation. Gios valued Wishan's incense to the point of taking it aboard the Coruscant Dawn, the flagship of Republic Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh, during his visit to Valo. He even offered to send some to Bell Zettifar after informing him about it. At some point, AD-3, the protocol droid belonging to Jedi Master Kelleran Beq, shared the story of Wishan instructing Rann in Force-sculpting with a group of Padawans undergoing their Jedi Trials on the Pelta-class frigate Athylia.
Wishan, characterized by green skin and red eyes, was not considered particularly attractive by AD-3. He possessed a somewhat stout physique, having gained weight during the summer preceding his attempt to teach sculpting to Jabe Rann. Consequently, when recounting the event of Wishan providing Rann with clay to sculpt his likeness, AD-3 amended her initial statement of "six lumps of clay" to "seven."
The Duros found joy in crafting sculptures through the Force. He maintained a friendly rapport with Jabe Rann. After witnessing Rann deter the Mon Calamari Padawan attempting to steal his sculpture, Wishan humorously remarked that while Rann might not be an exceptionally gifted artist, he possessed the ability to safeguard his sculptures. Furthermore, the Jedi Master exhibited no self-consciousness regarding his weight, as evidenced by his willingness to joke about gaining more weight when extending an invitation to Rann for a feast.
AD-3 portrayed Wishan, a Force-sensitive individual, as capable of sculpting "anything" from dark red clay, possessing sufficient skill to equip his sculpture of Rann with a toothpick-sized lightsaber. Wishan also possessed the skill to create his own incense from the petals of uneti blossoms.
Wishan donned brown Jedi robes.
Wishan made his debut, in flashback sequences, in the first episode of the children's game show Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge as part of a narrated story crafted by Cavan Scott. The episode was released on June 10, 2020.
