"Yoda's Mission," the second segment of the initial episode from Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, an animated series, premiered on Disney+ on May 4, 2023. Prior to this, it was shown early at Celebration Europe on April 8, 2023.

Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs are engaged in a sparring match with a training droid during a trial. They are positioned on a platform that is surrounded by logs. Jedi Master Zia Zaldor Zanna reminds the younglings that to succeed, they must bypass the droid and reach the platform together. The platform is marked with the Jedi symbol. Nash Durango and RJ-83 are also present, offering their support from the sidelines.
Solay vaults over the training droid and uses the logs to reach the platform, encouraging her fellow students to follow suit. Nubs evades the training droid and attempts to reach the platform by jumping across several logs. However, he falls short and ends up holding onto a rope. Solay is unable to assist Nubs. While Nubs is hanging onto the rope, Brightstar quickly moves to help him, but in the process, he drops his lightsaber.
Despite Solay's urging for Brightstar to drop the lightsaber and help Nubs, he decides to do both. He employs the Force to levitate both the lightsaber and Nubs. Although he successfully retrieves the lightsaber, Brightstar loses concentration, causing Nubs to lose his grip and fall. Master Zanna then concludes the training exercise.
While Solay is disheartened, Durango expresses her fascination with the training exercise. Brightstar apologizes to Nubs, who accepts his apology and embraces him. Master Zanna gathers the younglings to introduce a special guest, who is revealed to be Master Yoda. Brightstar is thrilled to see his mentor. Yoda, having observed the training exercise, advises Brightstar to prioritize saving his friends over objects, emphasizing that lightsabers can always be replaced.

Master Zanna informs the younglings that Yoda has a special message for them. Yoda announces that they have been invited to the Kublop Springs festival. Zanna adds that they will be giving a special demonstration of their abilities at the festival, with Master Yoda providing the training. In a private conversation, Yoda tasks Brightstar, Solay, and Nubs with a mission to acquire something important for the festival. He provides the instructions to Brightstar.
As the Jedi younglings, along with Durango and RJ-83, embark on their mission aboard the Crimson Firehawk, they are secretly watched by their adversary, Taborr Val Dorn. Val Dorn intends to sabotage their mission, hoping to have them sent back to Coruscant. EB-3 suggests following them and stealing their objective. Val Dorn adopts EB-3's idea as his own and orders his associates to board his ship.
Brightstar and his companions arrive at a tent stall located in the desert. Brightstar wonders if the item is a crystal, while Solay suggests it might be an Argonian Ruffle bird. The Aqualish merchant presents them with several seeds. Nubs expresses a desire to eat them, but Brightstar reminds him of Yoda's mission. Solay questions why Yoda would send them to retrieve seeds. Brightstar suggests that if it is important to Yoda, it should also be important to them. Brightstar decides that they should return home. Durango believes the task was simple and expects them to be back before the festival.
Upon their return to the Firehawk, they receive a distress signal. After a discussion with Durango, Brightstar convinces his friends that they should follow Yoda's teachings and help others. The younglings and RJ-83 head towards the source of the distress signal, only to find a hologram message from Val Dorn revealing that the signal was a ruse to lure them away from their ship. Val Dorn announces that he has stolen the bag of seeds.
The younglings return to the Firehawk to find that the pirates have vandalized Durango's ship. Durango is upset by the damage to her ship. Brightstar suggests that they split up, with Durango and RJ staying behind to repair the ship while he and his Jedi friends pursue Val Dorn and the seeds. Durango reveals the location of a nearby pirate hideout called Yarrum Tower. As it is too far to walk, Durango lends the younglings her speeder bike.

As the Jedi speed towards Yarrum Tower, Val Dorn, EB-3, and Pord attempt to sell the seeds to a Chagrian pirate, who dismisses them as worthless. He mocks Val Dorn as a "cute" wannabe pirate and touches his helmet. Disheartened, Val Dorn and his associates decide to return to their ship. The Jedi younglings ascend the docking ring as Val Dorn and his associates board their ship via the gangplank. Val Dorn places the seeds on a shelf before heading upstairs.
The Jedi infiltrate the ship by clinging to the retractable landing ramp. As Brightstar retrieves the bag of seeds, Nubs accidentally knocks over several crates, including a GNK-series power droid. This commotion alerts Val Dorn and his gang, who confront the Jedi. Val Dorn demands the return of the seeds, claiming he stole them fairly. Brightstar replies that they belong to Master Yoda and passes the seeds to Solay, who jumps onto a stack of crates.
When Brightstar uses his energy emitter to destabilize the crates, Solay passes the seeds to Nubs, who runs from EB-3. Brightstar throws a crate on top of EB-3, temporarily blinding him. Brightstar releases the docking ramp, sending Solay and Nubs away with the bag of seeds. He remains behind to fight Val Dorn, who draws his electrostaff. After a brief confrontation, Brightstar uses the Force to push Val Dorn aside.
The three Jedi are soon picked up by Durango, who arrives in the repaired Firehawk. She lowers the docking ramp a few meters above the docking ring. While Solay successfully jumps aboard, Nubs misses the ramp and grabs onto a rope. As Brightstar is distracted, Val Dorn uses his grappling cable to steal his lightsaber. Remembering Yoda's advice, Brightstar uses the Force to lift Nubs and the rope safely onto Durango's ship. Solay convinces Brightstar to abandon his lightsaber and escape, as he is outnumbered. He jumps aboard the Firehawk. Nubs offers him a comforting hug, and the Jedi depart. Val Dorn expresses his frustration with a growl.

At the Kublop Springs festival, the locals watch and cheer as the younglings demonstrate their lightsaber skills. Brightstar and his friends arrive with the seeds, which Yoda reveals to be rare sparkle-fire seeds, symbolizing the friendship between the Jedi and the people of the galaxy. They celebrate the promise of young ones who grow up young and bright. During an eclipse of Tenoo's blue and red moons, Yoda plants the seeds in a pot, which sprouts into a plant that emits colored fireworks.
Later, Brightstar informs Yoda that he lost his lightsaber during the mission. Despite his self-doubt, Yoda assures him that he made a selfless decision and presents Brightstar with his own training lightsaber, which he used when he was Brightstar's age. Yoda tells Brightstar that he will become a great Jedi. Brightstar raises the green lightsaber.
