Samson was a clone trooper who eventually joined the clone resistance network that was created by Clone Captain Rex early in the Imperial Era. Samson traveled to Pantora with Greer, Howzer, Nemec, and Rex to help protect Senator Avi Singh during his meeting with Senator Riyo Chuchi on Pantora. Following the mission, they returned to their base at the Teth B'omarr Order Monastery, where he was patrolling the base. They were killed by CX-2, a Clone X trooper working for Doctor Royce Hemlock.
Samson was created on the planet Kamino as a clone of the human male bounty hunter Jango Fett to serve in the Galactic Republic's clone army during the Clone Wars against the Separatist Alliance.
At some point during or before 18 BBY, Samson joined the Clone Underground resistance network. During this time, Samson and fellow clone troopers Greer, Howzer, Nemec and Rex were deployed on a mission to protect Senator Riyo Chuchi and Senator Avi Singh while they held a clandestine meeting on the planet Pantora. Although Senators Singh and Chuchi had been on opposite sides during the war, both former Republic and Separatist worlds had a growing discontent with Emperor Palpatine and the Empire. While the meeting was in session, Imperial Clone X trooper CX-1 had infiltrated tea parlor where the meeting was taking place, attempting to kill the senators. Captain Rex foiled the attempt however, and alongside Nemec, helped Howzer incapacitate and capture the assassin.
Following the assassin's capture, Samson accompanied the rest of their squad back to their headquarters at the B'omarr Order Monastery on the planet Teth. Samson assumed guard duty along the monastery's perimeter. Later, when Rex contacted the Bad Batch to meet with him at his base, Samson accompanied Rex and Howzer when they came to greet the defective clones. After a brief conversation between the two groups, they entered the monastery and Samson returned to his regular duties. However, another clone assassin, CX-2 had landed on the planet and made his way up to the monastery. Upon reaching the courtyard, CX-2 managed to evade Samson's detection and place thermal detonators on both Rho-class transport shuttles the resistance network were in possession of. After briefly entering the monastery and confirming the two targets on his register, CX-2 returned outside and remotely activated one of the detonators, destroying a shuttle in the process.
Witnessing the transport shuttle explode, Samson and another clone trooper ran toward the explosion, drawing their weapons and assuming a defensive stance. CX-2 then activated the other explosive, which caught Samson and his companion in the blast radius, killing them.
Moments after his death, the Recovery Strike Team, led by Clone Commander Wolffe and clone commando Lieutenant Hilo, entered the monastery grounds. While his squad secured the perimeter, Wolffe noticed Samson's body and expressed shock that the supposed insurgents they had been alerted of were clone troopers. Later, after the remaining members of the Clone Underground escaped Teth alongside the Bad Batch, Wolffe ordered his men to recover the bodies of Rex's deceased clones, including Samson's.
As a genetic clone of Jango Fett, Samson was a human male with black hair, brown eyes, and tan skin. Samson stood at a height of 1.83 meters tall.
Samson wore standard Phase II clone trooper armor with customized indigo markings. Additionally, they adorned a blaster holster on their left leg, a sheath on his left wrist, small pouches on both of his arms and ankles, a medium pouch on their right leg, a large pouch satchel slung over his chest, and a blaster holder on their back. Samson wielded a vibro-knife, a DC-17 hand blaster, and a DC-15A blaster rifle.
Samson appeared in "Infiltration," the sixth episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch's third season, which premiered on March 13, 2024 on Disney+. Samson was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, the voice actor for every clone trooper in The Bad Batch and other animated star wars media including Tales of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
