CT-8801

A clone trooper designated CT-8801 served the Galactic Republic as part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Following the reorganization of the Republic into the Galactic Empire at the conclusion of the war between 19 BBY and 18 BBY, CT-8801 continued his military career within the newly established Stormtrooper Corps as a stormtrooper in the Imperial Army. After the Republic's transformation, the trooper found himself stationed on the planet of Serenno, which was under occupation, serving in a company of fellow clones commanded by Clone Captain Wilco.

CT-8801, along with the rest of his company, was assigned the task of securing and retrieving the war chest that belonged to Dooku, the Count of Serenno who had died. While on patrol in proximity to the final transport being loaded, the trooper encountered Clone Force 99, a group of renegade clone commandos who had arrived on Serenno with the intention of seizing a portion of the war chest. After detecting the commandos he was quickly incapacitated, CT-8801's failure to report back to Wilco raised concerns among the Imperials, leading to a search for him.

Biography

CT-8801 patrols the area around the departing transports.

CT-8801's birth occurred on the planet Kamino, where he was created as a genetically identical clone of Jango Fett, the human bounty hunter and clone template. He was inducted into the service of the Galactic Republic and its army. During the Clone Wars, a conflict against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, CT-8801 and the other clone troopers of the Republic were given orders by Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine in 19 BBY to kill the members of the Jedi Order, who were labeled as enemies of the state. This order was known as Order 66 and was enforced through a behavioral modification biochip implanted in each clone. Following Order 66, the war concluded, and Chancellor Palpatine transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire.

After the Republic's change, CT-8801 and the clones of the former Republic Army remained in service as stormtroopers within the newly established Imperial Army. Sometime between 19 BBY and 18 BBY, CT-8801, along with a company of over forty clone troopers under the command of Clone Captain Wilco, was deployed to the planet Serenno. Serenno was the homeworld of Count Dooku, the deceased Separatist leader, and had been occupied and devastated by the Empire. Their mission involved infiltrating Dooku's former residence, Castle Serenno, to recover his war chest, a large collection of valuables taken from worlds controlled by the Separatists during the war, and transport it off-world using three class four container transports. However, in the same year, Clone Force 99, a squad of rogue clone commandos, traveled to Serenno with the goal of acquiring enough treasure to ensure their freedom from both the Empire and mercenary work, as the war chest had become a target for the criminal underworld following Dooku's death.

CT-8801 is stunned by Wrecker.

Upon landing on the surface of Serenno at Castle Serenno, the squad managed to avoid detection by the Imperial forces and boarded the third transport before its departure. While inside the container transport, CT-8801 was patrolling the area when he overheard noises coming from within the transport made by Tech, Echo, Wrecker, and Omega, members of Clone Force 99. As he was investigating, Wrecker quickly stunned and incapacitated the trooper. His failure to report back to his company raised concerns among the Imperials. In response to his disappearance, Captain Wilco ordered an investigation and delayed the departure of the third transport after the rogue clones were discovered. Shortly after the cargo ship departed, CT-8801 regained consciousness but was immediately stunned again before the commandos escaped with the containers, leaving the trooper unconscious on the freighter.

Personality and traits

CT-8801, being a human clone of Jango Fett, possessed a height of 1.83 meters (6 ft) and a weight of eighty kilograms.

Like the other clone troopers, CT-8801 was implanted at birth by Kaminoan scientists with a behavioral modification biochip. This chip ensured that he would comply with specific orders. He wore a set of white Phase II clone trooper armor equipped with an integrated comlink. His weaponry included a DC-15A blaster carbine and a single N-20 Baradium-core thermal detonator attached to the back of his utility belt.

Behind the scenes
