Dznori Xam was a technician of the Kallidahin species. Xam's occupation involved working at a dig site operated by the Archaeological Research Council within the Polis Massa asteroid belt. In 19 BBY, as the Clone Wars concluded, Xam was among those who assisted the gravely wounded human senator Padmé Amidala during birth after she was transported to the dig site. The team successfully delivered twins, named Luke and Leia, but ultimately, they were unable to save Amidala's life.
Dznori Xam, a Kallidahin, served as a technician for the Archaeological Research Council at an archaeological dig site. This site was located on an asteroid within the Polis Massa asteroid field. The council managed the dig site with the intention of discovering the cause of the destruction of the planet Polis Massa, as well as searching for any remnants of the Eellayin, a species believed by the Kallidahins to be their ancestors. Dznori Xam shared a last name with Selif Xam, who was also a technician at the base.
Near the end of the Clone Wars in 19 BBY, Senator Padmé Amidala, a heavily pregnant human, was brought to the dig site. She was accompanied by her allies, Senator Bail Organa, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Grand Master Yoda, after sustaining serious injuries. Dznori was part of a team that included trained physicians and several xenobiologists, who began to care for Amidala in order to assist her in the delivery of the twins she was carrying. Due to the seriousness of Amidala's condition, the team did not even have time to change out of their caving jumpsuits.

Amidala was placed in one of the site's medical facilities, which was originally intended to treat investigators rather than for childbirth. Dznori and Osh Scal, another technician, stood together by one of the room's monitors, studying and gesturing at the readout while she was in labor on a table in the center of the room. The pair then exited the room before the actual birth, leaving only Kenobi, a GH-7 medical droid, and a midwife droid to care for the expectant mother. Amidala successfully gave birth to the twins, naming them Luke and Leia, but persihed soon after due to losing the will to live after being betrayed by her husband, Anakin Skywalker.
When interacting with those accompanying the pregnant Amidala, Dznori Xam and the other Kallidahin technicians at Polis Massa demonstrated discretion and asked few questions. The Kallidahins had limited contact with humans and therefore knew little about the species' parturition, but they were still confused as to why they could not save Amidala's life. Dznori had purple-and-white skin and black eyes that were deep-focus.
Dznori Xam wore a blue-and-brown form-fitting caving jumpsuit with warming lines down the legs while treating Amidala. The outfit also featured a surgical hood seal and a caver's harness. The Kallidahin also carried a head-mounted signal light, a droid summoner, a shoulder light mounted on the right shoulder, a utility belt, a voice-activated comlink, and leg warmers.
Dznori Xam made an appearance in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, a film from the prequel trilogy that was released on May 19, 2005. The character was first identified in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia within the current Star Wars canon. The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first used in the reference book Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith: The Visual Dictionary, written by James Luceno and released on April 2, 2005.
