Fillik

During the High Republic Era, a human named Fillik served as a meknek aboard the Trade Federation's WD-2550 Whydah-class yield conveyer, known as the Fallon. In the year 132 BBY, Fillik ventured out for an evening on the moon of Nar Shaddaa. Upon returning, Fillik playfully teased their colleague, Verosha Aniseya, for opting out of the previous night's festivities. Subsequently, the two collaborated on repairs to the Fallon's shield generator while working on the hull of the starship in the vastness of space.

As they toiled, the vessel's captain, Blex, unknowingly aired his disdain for the mekneks over the comms, referring to them as expendable. Aniseya responded to the captain's remark, and Fillik then drew attention to an issue with the generator. Aniseya initiated welding repairs, which caused a spike in the pressure gauge Fillik was monitoring, leading to a minor explosion near the pressure valve. Aniseya extinguished the resulting flames before a Jedi Vector approached the Fallon, circling in preparation for docking, a scene witnessed by Fillik and Aniseya.

Biography

An Evening on Nar Shaddaa

Fillik and Verosha Aniseya worked on the Trade Federation vessel Fallon.

During the High Republic Era, Fillik, a human, was employed as a meknek aboard the Trade Federation's WD-2550 Whydah-class yield conveyer, the Fallon. In the year 132 BBY, Fillik joined the piloting crew for a lively night on Nar Shaddaa, a moon situated within Hutt Space. The following day, Fillik encountered fellow meknek Verosha Aniseya in the Fallon's corridors after an alarm sounded to signal a job for the mekneks. Fillik playfully criticized Aniseya for missing the previous night's outing, but she declined to disclose her alternative activities.

Their conversation was interrupted when they had to move out of the path of two Neimoidians who passed them brusquely. Following this, Fillik informed Aniseya that their task was to repair the ship's shield generators. Surprised, Aniseya noted that the Trade Federation rarely utilized the ship's shields, to which Fillik responded that this might explain the need for generator repairs.

Outer Repairs

Despite Galactic Republic regulations stipulating that only droids should perform external ship repairs, Fillik and Aniseya donned spacesuits equipped with magnetic boots. They exited the ship through a small hatch onto the outer hull while it was in space. They made their way across the hull to the shield generator's location and commenced work on opposite sides. As they worked, the ship's captain, Blex, began complaining from the bridge about the slow pace of repairs. He then declared the mekneks as disposable, unaware that Fillik and Aniseya could hear him over the comms.

Fillik and Verosha Aniseya donned suits to carry out repairs on the exterior of the Fallon.

Aniseya responded via comms, feigning offense and joking that while Fillik might be disposable, she was not. Fillik smiled, shook their head, and sarcastically called Aniseya funny. They then pointed out that the emitter duct was not connected to the field projector. Noticing Fillik's observation, Aniseya instructed her PIP droid, Pip, to begin welding the parts together. As she did so, Fillik became concerned as the pressure gauge began to rise rapidly. As they attempted to warn Aniseya, the pressure valve exploded nearby, prompting Fillik to shout.

Fire and Jedi

Sighing, Fillik explained the problem to Aniseya, who moved to fix the valve but momentarily froze upon seeing the fire from the explosion. She was haunted by a memory from her childhood. Pip's beeping snapped her out of the memory, and Fillik complained that she should stop messing around. Aniseya then extinguished the flames.

Fillik and Verosha watched a Jedi Vector approach the Fallon.

As the flames died down, a Jedi Vector approached the Fallon, capturing the attention of Aniseya and Fillik as it circled to dock with the Trade Federation vessel. Observing from the hull, Fillik inquired if the new arrivals were Aniseya's acquaintances, given her previous membership in the Jedi Order. After re-entering the ship, Aniseya was arrested by the Jedi and transferred onto the DTE-CSA-17 Calaboose prison ship Palwick. She was mistakenly believed to have committed a murder actually carried out by her twin sister, Mae-ho Aniseya.

Personality and Traits

Fillik remained unfazed by the inherent risks of being a meknek. Instead, they reveled in the unique chance to see the galaxy that traveling aboard the Fallon provided. They jokingly called Aniseya wicked and smiled when she later referred to them as disposable, but told her to stop messing around when she froze upon seeing fire. Standing at a height of 1.78 meters, Fillik possessed dark skin, black hair, and brown eyes.

Equipment

While on the Fallon, Fillik wore a green jumpsuit as a uniform with black fingerless gloves and black boots. When working in space, Fillik wore a dark red spacesuit with black piping and white paneling and made use of magnetic boots and a tool stored on the spacesuit's belt.

Behind the Scenes

Anthony J. Abraham played Fillik in "Lost / Found," the premiere episode of the live-action television series The Acolyte, which aired on June 4, 2024 on Disney+.
