Jakoli, a Rodian male, made his living as a bounty hunter, infamous for his policy of eliminating his targets without exception. Jakoli believed that the only way to guarantee a successful hunt was to ensure the death of his quarry. His brutal methods eventually attracted the attention of Count Dooku, a Sith Lord, during the era of the Clone Wars. Dooku summoned twelve accomplished bounty hunters, Jakoli among them, to the planet Serenno. There, inside a structure simply called the Box, they would face a gauntlet of lethal trials. The reward was a position in a planned kidnapping operation. Jakoli survived the initial pair of challenges, but during the third, which involved navigating a maze of electrical ray shields, he was ensnared by a shield that rose from the floor. The resulting electrocution proved fatal, ending his career of bloodshed.

Hailing from the planet [Rodia](/article/rodia], Jakoli was a male Rodian. Like many Rodians growing up amidst the jungles of their homeworld, Jakoli aspired to become a renowned bounty hunter. Unlike many novice Rodian hunters who fell victim to their own targets, Jakoli ensured his survival by always choosing to kill his bounties rather than risk capturing them alive. By the time of the Clone Wars, a conflict that engulfed the galaxy, Jakoli's ruthless techniques had drawn the attention of the Sith Lord Count Dooku. As the war progressed, Dooku, leading the Confederacy of Independent Systems, plotted to abduct the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. Needing a team of expert bounty hunters, Dooku invited Jakoli and eleven others to the planet Serenno. The group included Cad Bane, a Duros hunter; Rako Hardeen, a sharpshooter from Concord Dawn; the Ithorian brothers Bulduga and Onca; Kiera Swan, a Weequay bounty hunter; Twazzi, an acrobatic Frenk; Sinrich, a Snivvian inventor; Mantu, a Selkath; Embo, a Kyuzo bounty hunter; Sixtat, a Sakiyan known as the "Outlands Butcher"; and Derrown, a Parwan bounty hunter.
These bounty hunters were tasked with overcoming five potentially deadly challenges. Success meant a place on Dooku's kidnapping mission. These challenges were to be held within the Box, a massive structure designed by the Phindian Moralo Eval. Eval also oversaw the challenges from a control room, monitoring each bounty hunter. Before Jakoli and the others entered the Box, Bane shot Bulduga over the Ithorian's hat, reducing the number of Jakoli's rivals. Inside the Box, the first challenge involved the bounty hunters being stranded on a series of tall pillars while the room slowly filled with toxic dioxis gas. Hardeen deduced that the only escape was to dive into the gas and find a tunnel system in the floor. Jakoli and the others followed suit, safely reaching the next room. The second challenge required them to escape into a tunnel in the ceiling while dodging moving blocks armed with laser blades. Swan and Onca were impaled during this challenge, and Sinrich was strangled by Embo, while Jakoli and others reached the third challenge room.
The third challenge tested the bounty hunters' ability to avoid electrified ray shields. A pedestal in the room's center held a serum that would allow someone to pass through a ray shield guarding a switch that would deactivate the remaining shields. However, the serum was toxic to everyone except Derrown, who had a natural resistance. Before Derrown could deactivate the shields, Jakoli was caught in a shield rising from the floor, resulting in his fatal electrocution. Mantu was also killed by the same ray shield before Derrown could flip the switch. In the end, only Bane, Hardeen, Twazzi, Embo, and Derrown survived.
Jakoli was known as a ruthless and violent bounty hunter. He considered killing his targets a much safer approach than attempting to capture them alive. For Jakoli, there was no distinction between a dead or alive bounty. His policy of never bringing back live bounties earned him a fearsome reputation.
Physically, Jakoli had pale green skin, blue eyes, and stood at a height of 1.74 meters (5 feet, 9 inches).
Jakoli possessed exceptional skills in both armed and unarmed combat. He had the ability to sense vibrations and see into the infrared spectrum. He was also proficient in sharpshooting, tracking, and infiltration.
Jakoli carried a DL-44 heavy blaster pistol.
Jakoli was created for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series, appearing in the episode "The Box," where he was voiced by the series creator, Dave Filoni. Jakoli's character model was a modified and repainted version of the model used for Greedo, another Rodian who appeared earlier in the episode "Sphere of Influence."
