Lee Skillen was a female Karkarodon hailing from the planet Batuu, specifically the Black Spire Outpost settlement situated in the Outer Rim. She was employed by Ohnaka Transport Solutions, a business established by Hondo Ohnaka, the former pirate, and her role involved supervising operations during his absences. The demands of her position often induced stress and irritation in Skillen. At one juncture, she entered into a romantic relationship with her Twi'lek girlfriend, a relationship of which the Karkarodon's mother disapproved.
During her time as supervisor, Skillen crossed paths with Julen Rakab, a farmer, and they developed a professional rapport. She also interacted with various vendors in Black Spire Outpost, some of whom, including Kat Saka the farmer, harbored resentment towards her due to the business practices of Ohnaka. Skillen's job dissatisfaction grew time, eventually leading her to use threats to ensure compliance from her subordinates. At some point, she began collaborating with G1-MD, the company's protocol droid, to address workplace challenges.
In the year 34 ABY, Rakab attempted to persuade Skillen to permit him to retrieve a parcel intended for Dok-Ondar, the collector, which he had mistakenly delivered to Ohnaka Transport Solutions. Skillen refused to release the package from the company's office, leading Rakab to steal her access card. Subsequently, Izal Garsea, Rakab's friend and a smuggler, gained entry to the office to recover the parcel. Unaware of the theft, Skillen employed an override code to access the office and engage in conversation with Delta Jeet, the pilot.

Lee Skillen, a female Karkarodon born on an aquatic world, spent a considerable amount of time traversing the galaxy. Eventually, she established her residence in the Black Spire Outpost settlement located on the Batuu planet in the Outer Rim. By the time Skillen had taken up residence on Batuu, she was involved in a romantic relationship with a Twi'lek girlfriend, a relationship that met with disapproval from Skillen's mother due to her species.
At some stage, Skillen secured employment with Ohnaka Transport Solutions, a transport company founded by the former pirate Hondo Ohnaka. In her capacity as Ohnaka's supervisor, she oversaw the establishment's shipments through a datapad and addressed any concerns raised by the company's transport pilots while her superior was away. During her initial week in the position, Skillen mistakenly dispatched a consignment of worms to Urajab instead of the intended destination, resulting in the reduction of the planet's jungles to weeds due to the introduction of a new invasive species. While at her place of work, Skillen became acquainted with the delivery personnel employed by Dok-Ondar, the collector, including Julen Rakab, a farmer. Over time, she and Rakab maintained a functional affinity with each other.

In the year 34 ABY, the demands of Skillen's supervisory role began to induce stress due to vendors in Black Spire Outpost insisting on timely deliveries of their goods and merchandise. At some point, she commenced working in conjunction with G1-MD, the protocol droid belonging to Ohnaka Transport Solutions, to manage operations within the company's office. As Skillen's job became progressively more demanding and time-consuming, her girlfriend began to express dissatisfaction with the amount of time the Karkarodon spent at work.
Around this period, Orin, an employee, notified Skillen of his resignation from Ohnaka's company, compelling the supervisor to devise a plan for distributing the responsibilities he would be leaving behind. Furthermore, Batuuan business proprietors grew increasingly incensed with Ohnaka's import decisions, leading to their frustration being directed towards Skillen in his absence. Skillen felt particularly pressured by Kat Saka, the farmer, as she was aware of her disapproval of Ohnaka's business practices.
During one particularly demanding day at work, a human pilot employed by the company approached Skillen to voice concerns regarding the condition of the ship he was assigned to fly and the subpar skills of the copilots provided by his employer. Dismissing the man as inconsequential, the Karkarodon dispatched G1-MD to address the pilot's issues. Following the human's departure, Rakab and Skillen engaged in a discussion regarding a problem involving a parcel he had delivered to the company earlier that day. Despite Rakab's accidental delivery of a package intended for Dok-Ondar to the company, Skillen refused to permit him to retrieve it, asserting that once items entered the office, they remained there. Realizing that she was unyielding in her decision, he discreetly stole her access card to the building and handed her the other package he had initially been tasked with delivering.

Without being aware of Rakab's scheme to steal Skillen's card, the farmer's associate—Izal Garsea, the smuggler—also considered attempting to purloin it. Concealing her identity with a cloak, she intentionally bumped into the pair while they were conversing, but discovered that the card was not in the supervisor's pocket. Eventually, Skillen departed from the office, under the impression that she had dissuaded Rakab from attempting to retrieve his package. Subsequently, Garsea was pleased to discover that Rakab had successfully stolen the card, rendering her attempt to take it unnecessary. The duo waited for the conclusion of the current work shift aboard Rakab's light freighter, after which Garsea used Skillen's card to gain entry to the office. Concurrently, Rakab prevented G1-MD from entering the office when the droid attempted to enter in her search for the supervisor.
As Garsea searched for her parcel, Skillen arrived at the office, annoyed that she had lost her access card. The Karkarodon used the door's override code to unlock the office, leading the Ohnaka Transport Solutions pilot Delta Jeet inside while Garsea hid beneath a stack of urusida pelts. Skillen conversed with Jeet, who was irritated at having to work on her week off due to Orin quitting, promising the pilot she would speak to Ohnaka about giving her a bonus for her efforts. After considering, Jeet reluctantly accepted the extra trip to the planets Corellia and Clak'dor, and Skillen left the office. Shortly afterward, several irate pilots surrounded Skillen on a landing pad and demanded her attention.

Lee Skillen possessed rough blue skin, black eyes, and webbed hands. By the time she lived on Batuu, the scent of urusida pelts reminded her of the fragrances of her homeworld due to the fishy odor. Standing at a height of two meters, Rakab perceived Skillen as an imposing figure. She leveraged her appearance to her advantage, intimidating others into complying with her directives without complaint by displaying her sharp teeth and shouting at her subordinates. Despite her gruff demeanor, Skillen was deeply fond of her girlfriend and persisted in their relationship despite her mother's disdain for the Twi'lek.
The persistent demands of working for Ohnaka Transport Solutions induced considerable stress in Skillen and depleted her patience. Frequently, the supervisor felt that Ohnaka was irresponsible and burdened her with more work than she could effectively manage. When Skillen began speaking, she often launched into a torrent of information, particularly concerning her personal tribulations. The supervisor frequently sprayed saltwater vapor on herself using her bodysuit to alleviate stress after conversing with others. When thanking Delta Jeet for taking extra work, Skillen attempted to remain calm for the employee and acted as if she was reciting a script.
Lee Skillen was proficient at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively ensured the smooth operation of deliveries at Ohnaka Transport Solutions' establishment. She oversaw the company's employees during her boss's absences, resolving issues as they arose despite the stress dealing with individuals caused her.
As a member of an aquatic species, Skillen wore a habitat-regulating bodysuit while on land, which released saltwater vapor that prevented her body from drying out. While supervising Ohnaka Transport Solutions, Skillen carried a datapad, though she often tapped at its deactivated screen to seem busy so she would be left alone. Skillen also owned an access card for the office at Ohnaka Transport Solutions, which Rakab stole to retrieve the parcel he accidentally delivered.
Lee Skillen made an appearance in A Crash of Fate, a young-adult novel from 2019 authored by Zoraida Córdova. In the StarWars.com article "5 Behind-the-Pages Secrets of Star Wars: Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade," which was published on July 17, 2023, Córdova stated that she regarded Skillen's inclusion in the novel as a Karkarodon as an Easter egg for dedicated fans.
