Old Jho's Pit Stop, situated within the Jhothal outpost on the planet of Lothal, functioned as both a repair shop and a cantina. This establishment took its name from its Ithorian proprietor, Jho. The crew of the Ghost frequently visited the cantina, sometimes seeking refuge there.
Old Jho's Pit Stop, a repair facility and docking bay representing the enduring frontier spirit of Lothal, was tucked away in the small outpost informally called "Jhothal." Both the outpost and the Pit Stop were named in honor of Jho, the Ithorian owner. Located some hours away from Capital City, the Pit Stop's central feature was a charming cantina. Here, Old Jho served beverages to locals and travelers alike, with a storeroom located beneath. A holoprojector was affixed to the wall behind the bar. Behind the Pit Stop, Jho kept his aged hauler covered by a tarp. Despite his amicable nature, the Ithorian kept a hunting blaster under the counter for dealing with any potential disturbances.
Many of Jho's furnishings were creatively crafted from repurposed materials. Examples included lamps constructed from pit droids and an overhead fan fashioned from a gunship engine, along with repurposed moisture vaporator tanks. Salvaged artifacts from the Clone Wars were displayed throughout the bar. These relics served as reminders of the galaxy's history of warfare, including a Phase I clone trooper helmet positioned on a shelf behind the bar. Additionally, what appeared to be the nose section of a Low Altitude Assault Transport, known as the Crumb Bomber, was mounted above the hangar bay entrance; Jho asserted its authenticity. The repair facility's signage, presented in a combination of Outer Rim Basic and Aurebesh, was displayed on a pair of LAAT/i wings attached to either side of the gunship's nose.
Reportedly, the Pit Stop was unique on Lothal as a place to enjoy refreshments while having a vehicle's power converters replaced. Jho was known for his lack of discrimination; as long as a customer had credits, he would serve them whatever they desired, including humans, humanoids, and even droids, whether it was bantha milk or lubricator fluid. However, Old Jho's Pit Stop was not particularly supportive of the Empire, disregarding the mandate to play the HoloNet News at all times. Despite this, TIE fighter pilots and other Imperials were still occasionally seen there. The Pit Stop provided a discreet meeting location for smugglers, gamblers, and even the occasional Imperial.
Jho offered simple meals and beverages, such as spicebrew, ice-cold fizzy, and ice water, along with desserts like space waffles with muja sauce, minced Loth-rat pie, jogan fruitcake, blue milk custard, and spiced nysillin tea. Following Jho's execution for assisting the Rebellion in 1 BBY, Baron Valen Rudor took control of the bar, transforming it into a popular spot for Imperial personnel.
Jho was executed in 1 BBY for his attempted assistance to suspected rebel cell members. The Empire seized his bar and granted it to Baron Valen Rudor, who subsequently made the cantina a favored haunt of Imperial personnel. While evading Imperial forces, Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren visited Jho's former cantina, only to discover the news of Jho's execution. Before Rudor could interrogate the visitors, an old acquaintance, Jai Kell, settled their tab and escorted them out of the bar, preventing their discovery. Kell, already a member of Ryder Azadi's Lothal resistance group, guided the Spectres to Ryder's designated meeting place.
Decades later, the diner's logo served as decoration on the flight suit and racing starfighter of Hype Fazon, a racer pilot stationed on the Colossus station.
