TA1313 was a T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid serving the Confederacy of Independent Systems' navy throughout the Clone Wars. This particular tactical droid was part of the personal flotilla of Separatist leader Count Dooku in 22 BBY. During that year, as the Separatist Droid Army initiated an invasion on the planet Ryloth, TA1313 managed to pick up a coded message being transmitted between the Jedi High Council and Senator Bail Organa of the Galactic Republic.
Upon successfully intercepting the transmission, the droid revealed that Organa had been sent to Toydaria to negotiate its use as a staging area for delivering aid to the people of Ryloth. Following Dooku's instructions, TA1313 then sent a message to Trade Federation Senator Lott Dod, as the count desired to converse with him.
TA1313, a T-series military strategic analysis and tactics droid created by Baktoid Combat Automata, functioned within the Confederacy of Independent Systems' naval forces during the opening year of the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic. This tactical droid was assigned to the Providence-class Dreadnought flagship belonging to Separatist Head of State Count Dooku, and the droid was responsible for delivering messages to him. Later in the conflict, the Confederacy commenced an invasion of the Outer Rim world of Ryloth, facing resistance from a small Republic garrison of clone troopers commanded by Jedi General Ima-Gun Di on the planet's surface, along with a relief supply fleet under the command of Admiral Dao in orbit.
As the Separatist forces battled fiercely, they pushed the Republic to their breaking point. With resources dwindling on both fronts, the Republic admiral contacted the Jedi High Council on Coruscant, the Republic's capital world, in an attempt to provide immediate aid to the starving and war-ravaged Twi'lek population. Dao's message, followed by his death, led the Jedi Order to reach out to Senator Bail Organa of Alderaan regarding the dire situation.
During the exchange between Organa and the Jedi, TA1313, while aboard Dooku's flagship, successfully intercepted and partially deciphered their coded communication. Upon delivering the message to Dooku during his [meditation](/article/meditation], the tactical droid explained that the Republic planned to dispatch Organa to Toydaria to negotiate a treaty with Toydarian King Katuunko. This treaty would grant the Republic access to transport relief supplies to their faltering forces and starving populace on Ryloth. In response, Dooku instructed TA1313 to send a message to Senator Lott Dod of the Trade Federation, expressing his desire to discuss the matter with the Neimoidian in an effort to prevent Organa from succeeding in his negotiations.
TA1313 made its debut in "Supply Lines," the third episode of the third season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, which was broadcast on September 24, 2010. The episode's credits identified the droid as the T-series tactical droid TX-20, who had previously appeared in "Innocents of Ryloth," the twentieth episode of the series' first season, which was released on March 6, 2009. This article posits that the identification of the droid as TX-20 is likely an error, due to the difference in plating color.
Phil LaMarr provided the voice for the droid, who was later identified as TA1313 in the non-English language credits for the episode on Disney+. Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, TA-1313 was initially identified in the "Card Assault" expansion for the Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures online game, which was released in 2012.
