The Star Herald was in dock, secured to a space station situated in Wild Space. Within the ship, the droid BB-00, known as "Boo," leveled an accusation against Emil Graf, claiming Emil had pilfered his laser-calipers. Emil Graf refuted the droid's allegation, asserting that he lacked any familiarity with the tool in question. CR-8R, or "Crater," acted as translator for Boo's beeping communications. Graf cut Crater off before he could finish translating an insult, informing them that the situation appeared to be a misunderstanding.
On the desert planet of Tatooine, Max Rebo strolled through the streets of Mos Eisley, expressing happiness over Jabba Desilijic Tiure's arrival in town with his entourage. However, the residents of Mos Eisley did not share Rebo's enthusiasm. Rebo inquired about the cause of their displeasure, only to be accused by one of the residents of stealing his money. A chase ensued, with the residents pursuing the small Ortolan until he collided with a group of stormtroopers, causing them to fall. Hemmed in by the angry stormtroopers on one side and the furious residents on the other, Rebo found himself in a precarious situation. Suddenly, Rebo's brother, Azool Phantelle, arrived to rescue him, whisking him away in his landspeeder.
Phantelle sped through a market within Mos Eisley. His reckless driving resulted in the destruction of merchant stalls, the running over of droids, and the further aggravation of the residents. The bounty hunter Boushh fired a missile launcher at them, but the resulting explosion only amplified the surrounding destruction. Rebo, distressed by the people's anger, decided to take matters into his own hands. He seized the stolen money from his brother and threw it into the crowd. Chaos erupted as people scrambled and fought over the scattered money.
Phantelle was infuriated with Rebo for disposing of the stolen money, but their argument was interrupted by an even angrier Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Max Rebo attempted to placate Jabba the Hutt, explaining that he had discovered his criminal brother was operating within Jabba's territory and that he was attempting to rectify the situation. Upon understanding the circumstances, Jabba seized Phantelle and warned him that he was fortunate to escape death, but that he would be put to work.
Later, aboard Jabba's sail barge, the Khetanna, Jabba assigned Azool Phantelle the task of serving drinks, hoping to instill in him a sense of respect. Meanwhile, a party was underway, featuring Max Rebo and his band providing the music.
Returning to the Star Herald, Emil Graf ascended a ladder and located the laser-caliper in the bed of his Kowakian monkey-lizard, named Noni. Realizing he had made a mistake in accusing Graf, Boo offered the flimsy excuse that he had difficulty distinguishing between Graf and Noni.
