A male human assassin, in service to the Order of the Night Wind, was active during the New Republic Era. Though their operations were typically restricted to Hutt Space, he and a group of fellow assassins were dispatched to Mos Espa circa 9 ABY. Their objective was to ambush Boba Fett, who had declared himself Daimyo of the city. This mission, however, ended in failure, as most of the assassins were defeated by Fennec Shand, a Master Assassin, and Fett's Gamorrean guards.
As the only survivor, the Night Wind assassin was interrogated by the crime lord regarding the identity of his employer. He claimed that Mok Shaiz, the Mayor of Mos Espa, was responsible. However, when confronted by Fett, Shaiz simply expressed gratitude to the Daimyo for capturing a member of the Night Wind and promptly had the assassin executed.

In 9 ABY, this male human functioned as an assassin within the ranks of the Order of the Night Wind, an organization of assassins whose activities were generally confined to Hutt Space. He, along with five other assassins, received a commission to eliminate Boba Fett, who had recently taken on the role of Daimyo on the desert planet of Tatooine. After Fett and his master assassin, Fennec Shand, departed from Garsa Fwip's Sanctuary cantina in the city of Mos Espa, the six assassins set up an ambush for them in the street. They were armed with plasma pikes and energy shields. The Night Wind assassins encircled their targets with a shield perimeter that withstood an explosive retaliation from Fett. However, they were soon outflanked by the Daimyo's two Gamorrean guards, which disrupted the Night Wind's formation.

Fett, Shand, and their guards engaged the assassins in combat, killing three of them. The Night Wind assassin and his two remaining allies then opted to retreat, scaling a nearby building. While Fett managed to kill one of the fleeing assassins, Shand pursued the assassin and his last remaining accomplice as they traversed the rooftops of Mos Espa. When Fett's master assassin caught up with the pair, they hurled knives at her, compelling her to leap off the building to evade the attack. The two assassins continued their escape across the buildings until Shand surprised them atop another building, engaging them in close combat. Fett's master assassin overpowered them, disarming them and using one of their batons to force their surrender. Shand then kicked the assassin's comrade over the edge, taking the assassin prisoner.

Shand secured the Night Wind assassin's wrists with rope and escorted him back to Fett's palace, where he was presented before the Daimyo. Fett questioned the assassin, demanding to know who had hired him. The captive remained silent, prompting the Daimyo to have one of his Gamorrean guards hold a blade to his throat. The assassin responded by cursing Fett in Huttese. Fett's 8D-series smelter droid, 8D8, identified the assassin's affiliation with the Night Wind, stating that he feared no man. Shand then inquired if the assassin feared a rancor, causing him to look up in fear before a trap door opened beneath him, dropping him into a dungeon. A large door nearby began to open, and the assassin, believing a rancor was behind it, succumbed to his fear and confessed that Mayor Mok Shaiz of Mos Espa had sent him to kill Fett.

The Night Wind assassin had been deceived, as there was no rancor behind the door. Fett and Shand, accompanied by the Gamorreans, took him to Mos Espa City Hall. Upon entering the building, Shand forced the prisoner to his knees while Fett spoke to the desk clerk. When Shaiz's majordomo intervened, claiming the mayor was occupied, the Daimyo forced his way into Shaiz's office, with the assassin being dragged along. Forcing the captive to the floor once more, the Daimyo accused Shaiz of hiring the assassin to kill him. Shaiz, recognizing the prisoner as a Night Wind assassin, instructed one of his guards to shoot him, claiming that the Order of the Night Wind was prohibited from operating outside of Hutt Space.

This Night Wind assassin, a human male, possessed fair skin and blue eyes. As a member of the Order of the Night Wind, he displayed fearlessness, even cursing at Boba Fett while threatened with a blade. However, he was afraid of rancors, and he quickly divulged information when he was tricked into believing one was about to be released upon him.
The assassin's first appearance was in the premiere episode of the Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett, which was directed by Robert Rodriguez and broadcast on December 29, 2021. The character was played by stunt performer Paul Darnell.
