Attack on Aeos Prime

During the First Order-Resistance War, a Resurgent-class Star Destroyer belonging to the First Order assaulted and obliterated an Aeosian village. This was done as a component of their strategy to prevent the Resistance from gaining access to former Rebel Alliance bases. This assault caused the village to be deserted and left several Aeosians injured. When the refueling station Colossus arrived seeking safety, the Aeosian Queen commanded her people to engage the newcomers. Nevertheless, Kazuda Xiono was successful in convincing her that the Colossus was not a threat. In exchange for medical supplies to care for the injured, the Queen granted Captain Imanuel Doza and his people refuge.

Prelude

During the Imperial Era, the Rebel Alliance established a secret base on the oceanic planet of Aeos Prime. The native Aeosian villagers welcomed the rebels and constructed their village in close proximity to the base.

The attack

After the commencement of the First Order-Resistance War, the First Order, a splinter faction of the Old Empire, initiated a campaign to eradicate former Rebellion bases to deny their use to the insurgent Resistance. A First Order Star Destroyer journeyed to Aeos Prime intending to destroy the rebel base. Instead, they targeted the nearby Aeosian village, causing injuries to several inhabitants and compelling them to seek shelter underground.

Aftermath

Aeosian warriors attacked the Colossus, mistakenly believing the station to be a threat.

Not long after the First Order's attack, the refueling platform Colossus arrived at Aeos Prime. The Colossus had spent several months evading the First Order and had been scouting Aeos Prime as a possible location to establish a new home. Captain Imanuel Doza, the commander of the Colossus, and its inhabitants were drawn to the planet's blue skies and oceans.

During a reconnaissance mission, the Resistance pilot Kazuda Xiono and former Imperial pilot Griff Halloran came across the deserted village. While exploring the caves, they were captured by the Aeosians, who perceived them as a threat. The Aeosian Queen was under the impression that the Colossus was the same vessel that had attacked their village. She authorized an assault on the Colossus and intended to feed Xiono, Halloran, and their droids CB-23 and R5-G9 to her winged krakavora.

Simultaneously, a number of Aeosian warriors and their krakavora mounts attacked the Colossus. They overwhelmed the B1-series battle droid "B1" and several B2-series super battle droids and attempted to force entry. However, Kaz succeeded in persuading the Aeosian Queen that the Colossus residents did not pose a threat by providing treatment to a wounded Aeosian. Consequently, the Queen ceased the attack and initiated discussions with Captain Doza. These discussions proved productive and she permitted them to settle on Aeos Prime.

Despite the Colossus residents' hopes of establishing a new home on Aeos Prime, the First Order soon discovered their presence after Xiono attempted to rejoin the Resistance. First Order forces, led by Commander Pyre, attacked the Colossus on Aeos Prime. However, Ace Squadron and the Aeosians were able to fend off the First Order long enough for the Colossus to escape into hyperspace.

As retribution for sheltering the Colossus and its inhabitants, a First Order fleet of fourteen Star Destroyers, under the command of Commander Pyre and Agent Tierny's ship, bombarded from orbit the Aeosian village that had assisted them, along with the surrounding area.
