Deychin tea was a type of tea potable by humans, Togrutas, and Pkorians. When served hot, it gave off floral-scented steam. Following the Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY, Jedi Master Jocasta Nu offered Jedi Knight Iskat Akaris the opportunity to return to securing artifacts for the Jedi Order, noting that the latter's recently-deceased Master, Sember Vey, had believed she was almost ready to return to her past activities. Though grateful for her Master's faith, Akaris dreaded the proposition and mentally considered haggling over a cup of Deychin tea to secure dusty datacrons unappealing. Ultimately, she declined Nu's offer.
In 5 ABY, the advisor Auxi Kray Korbin poured two mugs of hot Deychin tea for herself and her employer, the New Republic Chancellor Mon Mothma, while in the latter's office on the Core Worlds planet Chandrila. Koribin suggested that Mothma add some alcoholic brandy to her beverage, though the chancellor declined.
