Blacktar Cyst

Blacktar Cyst, a planet-like celestial body, witnessed the deployment of both the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, also known as Twilight Company, and the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing by the time 3 ABY arrived. In the ensuing battle, soldier Pol Andrissus suffered disfiguring wounds, resulting in the development of a speech impediment. Following the combat, rebel First Sergeant Hazram Namir engaged in an ongoing dispute with Captain Micha Evon and was also defeated in an argument with fellow soldier Brand.

In the year 3 ABY, General Philap Bygar referenced the hardships faced by Twilight Company on Blacktar Cyst when he commended Evon, Namir, and three other company members for their prior service at the Alliance's base located on the planet Hoth. Approximately around 5 ABY on Troithe, tales of the Blacktar Cyst conflict were shared separately by a Twilight Company infantrywoman at a spaceport, and subsequently, a few days later, among members of the 204th at the Taa Complex greenhouse.

History

Prior to 3 ABY, the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry, more commonly known as Twilight Company, found themselves deployed to Blacktar Cyst, a terrestrial astronomical object, which precipitated a battle that also involved the Galactic Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing. Pol Andrissus, a soldier within Twilight Company, sustained injuries from flying debris, resulting in severe facial scarring and disfigurement, ultimately causing a permanent stutter due to the shrapnel's impact on his brain. On Blacktar Cyst, Hazram Namir, the rebel First Sergeant, was on the losing end of a disagreement with Brand, another rebel soldier and former bounty hunter, regarding whether Micha Evon, the company's Captain known as "Howl," was a genius or not.

Yrica Quell fought with the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing at Blacktar Cyst and chose not to reveal such when she spoke to members of Twilight Company.

Following Twilight Company's deployment to Blacktar Cyst, Evon and Namir engaged in a prolonged debate concerning Namir's alleged underestimation of his troops and their fighting spirit. Philap Bygar, the Alliance General from Alliance High Command, believed the company should never have been dispatched to Blacktar Cyst, a sentiment he expressed while commending Twilight Company's prior achievements to Evon, Namir, and three other company members during their visit to the Alliance's secret base on the planet Hoth in 3 ABY.

After the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the Alliance eventually became the New Republic. Circa 5 ABY, Twilight Company, as an element of a New Republic battle group, fought on the planet Troithe during a campaign in the Cerberon system. During a social event involving several of the company's soldiers and the New Republic's Alphabet Squadron at Troithe's main spaceport, one infantrywoman from Twilight Company shared her perspective on the fighting that took place on Blacktar Cyst. Yrica Quell, Alphabet Squadron's commander and a former member of the 204th, noticed that her recollection of the battle differed from the soldier's account but chose to keep her past affiliation a secret. Later, at the Taa Complex greenhouse on Troithe, Soran Keize, the field-promoted colonel leading the 204th, joined a group of 204th pilots in recounting stories, including those related to the battle of Blacktar Cyst, around a fire.
