Eekar Oki, a male Mon Calamari, was a Jedi who fought for the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Back in 21 BBY, after General Grievous of the Confederate had captured Jedi Master Eeth Koth, Oki attended a Jedi Order meeting about it. Later that year, he was at the Galactic Senate Building. In 20 BBY, Oki was there to greet Jedi trainees who had been missing after they came back from Wasskah. The following year, he was present at the funeral for those who died in a bombing at the Jedi Temple's hangar.
During the Clone Wars and the last years of the Galactic Republic, Eekar Oki, a male of the Mon Calamari species, served as a Jedi. In 21 BBY, Oki was in the Jedi Temple's communication center with other Jedi, standing to the right of Finn Ertay, when the Jedi Order received a message from Separatist General Grievous. In the holographic message, Grievous showed that he had captured Jedi Master Eeth Koth and was torturing him. Oki departed not long after Grand Master Yoda dismissed the Jedi Initiates.
Later that same year, Oki was talking to fellow Jedi Anakin Skywalker in a corridor of the Galactic Senate Building during a lockdown that was caused by a bombing at Coruscant's central power distribution grid. Their conversation ended when Senator Padmé Amidala and Skywalker's Padawan Ahsoka Tano arrived, and Oki then left. In 20 BBY, the Jedi was also present at a landing pad outside the Jedi Temple when Padawan Tano, along with Jedi Initiates O-Mer and Jinx, arrived on the Halo after being rescued by Wookiees on the moon Wasskah. Oki stood next to Ertay and some Wookies at that event.
In 19 BBY, after the bombing of the Jedi Temple's hangar, Oki walked through its hallways. He walked past Masters Mace Windu and Yoda as they spoke with Skywalker and Tano, and then he walked past Sora Bulq and Ki-Adi-Mundi. He also went to the funeral to honor those who died in the bombing, standing with his head bowed between Bulq and Senator Mon Mothma.
When Oki was in the Jedi Temple and the Senate Building, he wore brown Jedi robes and carried a lightsaber.
Eekar Oki's first appearance was in "Grievous Intrigue," the ninth episode of the second season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, an animated series. The episode was first broadcast on January 1, 2010, although he was not named in the episode itself. His name was revealed in the episode's guide on StarWars.com, specifically in the "Trivia & Details" section.
