The Imperial Troop Transport (ITT), a transport vehicle, was manufactured by Ubrikkian Industries. Functioning as a troop transport, much like the Ubrikkian-produced K79-S80 Imperial Troop Transport, this particular variant possessed aerial capabilities. It saw service within the Galactic Empire and the Imperial remnant under the command of Moff Gideon during the Imperial and New Republic Eras. Modifications allowed it to carry stormtroopers and substantial weaponry to combat zones, or to convey Imperial prisoners to the correctional facility where their sentences would be served.
These Imperial transports were distinguished by their wedge-shaped bodies and a boarding ramp situated at the front. They were propelled by engines and equipped with a pair of linked laser cannons for defense. The interior space was adaptable, capable of accommodating at least 36 stormtroopers in a standing position or a minimum of 20 seated prisoners.
On one occasion, an Imperial transport delivered multiple TK stormtroopers, including Ubrik Adelhard, who would later become Grand Moff and governor of the Anoat sector, to suppress an insurrection occurring on Abartolom.
By 9 BBY, some of these transports were stationed at the Galactic Empire's Fortress Inquisitorius located on Nur. During the siege of Jabiim, Imperial forces deployed a pair of these transports in an attempt to subdue an anti-Imperial group identified as the Hidden Path.

A specialized version, known as the Imperial Prison Transport, was employed in 5 BBY for the purpose of transferring prisoners from the Niamos courthouse to the prison facility where they were to serve their sentences. These transports featured windows with bars and custom seating that could magnetically secure prisoners' shackles. They lacked the dual laser cannons found on the front of standard models. One such transport was used to transport Cassian Jeron Andor to the Imperial Prison Complex on Narkina 5 after his apprehension on Niamos.
One ITT was stationed on the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Tarkin's Will. Rebel Pathfinder Sergeant Kes Dameron and his wife, the rebel pilot Shara Bey, utilized it to escape the Tarkin's Will and return to the rebel flagship Home One during the Battle of Panisia. Around 9 ABY, Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant made use of them. Two of these transports participated in a battle on Tython with the objective of capturing Grogu from Din Djarin. Following the order to retreat, both ships attempted to escape. However, a missile fired from Boba Fett's Z-6 jetpack resulted in one crashing into the other, leading to their mutual destruction.
The First Order, the successor to the Empire, made use of the AAL-1971/9.1 Troop Transports, a similar design that deployed its Stormtroopers into battle and maintained order for the state. Additionally, the AAL-2100/9.5 atmospheric assault lander served as another successor vehicle utilized by the Final Order.
These transports were initially seen in the 2020 episode titled "Chapter 14: The Tragedy" from the live-action television series The Mandalorian.
