LEP-series service droid
The LEP-series service droid, also designated as the LEP servant droid, represented a third class service droid model. Its operational history included the era of the Clone Wars and subsequent periods. Notable individuals such as Nuvo Vindi, Whorm Loathsom, and Tan Divo are all documented as having owned one of these specific droids. Their communication capabilities extended to both Galactic Basic and a range of chirping and squeaking sounds, typically delivered in a high-pitched tone. They fulfilled various roles, which included the provision of refreshments and the handling of datapads.
Description
Droids of the LEP variety were products of Coachelle Automata, a manufacturing entity managed by members of the sentient and leporine Lepi species, whose physical characteristics the droids mirrored.
These droids were not engineered for engagement in combat scenarios. Their typical response to hostile situations involved evasion and concealment. However, when subjected to entrapment, they were capable of exhibiting aggression and retaliatory behavior.
History

At one juncture, Whorm Loathsom acquired an assistant droid and maintained its presence during the Battle of Christophsis. The droid was left as a helpless observer as General Obi-Wan Kenobi apprehended its master mere moments before the droid's destruction. Subsequently, on Naboo, Doctor Nuvo Vindi instructed his assistant, LEP-86C8, to transport a virus bomb back to the designated bomb containment area. To accomplish this mission, the droid eventually resorted to fleeing from clone troopers, ultimately succeeding in releasing the virus and compelling Republic personnel to develop a cure.
Another LEP droid was located within the Republic Executive Building during its takeover by the bounty hunter Cad Bane. Its attempt to escape proved unsuccessful, resulting in its destruction by gunfire from one of the bounty hunters. Duchess Satine Kryze of Mandalore employed numerous LEP droids aboard her personal yacht, the Coronet.
Moff Quarsh Panaka utilized several servant droids within his chalet on Onoam. These droids were obliterated when a bomb detonated, scattering their components across a wide area.
Following Bib Fortuna's assumption of control over Jabba's Palace, an LEP-series service droid was employed within the palace for the purpose of rat control. It continued its service in the castle after Boba Fett, formerly a bounty hunter, took over as Daimyo.
The LEP service droids reside in the domed city situated on Plazir-15.
At least a pair of LEP servant droids were in service at Takodana Castle during the year 34 ABY.
Behind the scenes
The auditory presence of LEP servant droids can be identified in the film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, specifically within Takodana Castle. The fourth episode of the Disney+ television series The Book of Boba Fett, titled "Chapter 4: The Gathering Storm," marks the inaugural live-action depiction of a LEP-series service droid.
The droid's design can be traced back to early conceptual artwork created by Doug Chiang for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
