Mandalorian covert
During the New Republic Era, a Mandalorian covert made its home on the space station known as Glavis Ringworld. After Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant brutally massacred the Mandalorian covert stationed on Nevarro, the Armorer and [Paz Vizsla](/article/paz_vizsla], two surviving members of the Tribe, established this new covert. Later, Din Djarin became a member and assisted them, but his removal of his helmet, a violation of the strict tenets of the Way of the Mandalore adhered to by the Children of the Watch, led to his banishment. Subsequently, the Armorer and Vizsla moved to a different covert.
Description
This particular Mandalorian covert was situated in the lower sublevels of Glavis Ringworld space station, close to Kolzoc Alley. Access was gained through a concealed door displaying a camouflaged mythosaur symbol, visible only with a macrobinocular viewplate. A key feature was its cryo-furnace, positioned on a raised platform adjacent to a service corridor that opened into the vacuum of space. A cabinet containing forgery instruments, including a gravity hammer and magnetic tongs, was located directly beside the forge.
History
Prelude
Following the devastating attack on the Tribe by Moff Gideon's Imperial remnant and the exposure of the Mandalorian covert on Nevarro, Paz Vizsla and [the Armorer](/article/the_armorer] managed to escape to Glavis. They established a hidden base in the ring world's lower sublevels, near the heat exhaust towers. They left clues along Glavis Ringworld's Kolzoc Alley, visible through a Mandalorian helmet's vision settings, to guide others to their new covert.
Establishment of the Covert
Bounty hunter Din Djarin soon found Paz Vizsla and the Armorer, using information provided by an Ishi Tib. The Armorer welcomed Djarin, and after he presented the Darksaber, he assisted in establishing the covert by setting up the beskar forge and the forgery cabinet. Djarin also presented the beskar spear he had obtained from Ahsoka Tano, but the Armorer deemed it too dangerous (as it could pierce beskar armor) and forced him to melt it down. At Djarin's request, the spear was reforged into armor for Grogu. As she melted the spear, the Armorer recounted to Djarin the history of the Darksaber and the Night of a Thousand Tears.
Duel on the bridge
After Djarin arrived at the covert, he began training with the Darksaber, as instructed by the Armorer, on a service bridge above the vacuum of space. However, his struggles led Paz Vizsla to declare him unworthy of wielding it, and he challenged Djarin to a duel for the saber. Din accepted, and fought Vizsla, who was armed with a Personal Combat Shield and a vibroblade. Initially, Din was disarmed, but he soon gained the upper hand, and the Armorer ended the duel, declaring Djarin the winner. However, when the Armorer asked if they had removed their helmets, Djarin admitted that he had, resulting in his banishment. He could only atone by cleansing himself in the Living Waters beneath the Mines of Mandalore, according to the Way of the Mandalore. Djarin left the covert, still in possession of the Darksaber.
Leaving the covert
Later, the Armorer and Vizsla moved to another covert on a desert planet, where more Mandalorians from the Tribe joined them.
