Mandalorian warriors employed personal combat shields, which were a type of plasma shield. These shields, activated via the Mandalorian vambraces worn by the warriors, measured 50 centimeters in diameter. They provided defense against both blaster weaponry and the edge of a lightsaber.
Shield projectors integrated into vambraces were a known tool of Death Watch, a splinter group of Mandalorian warriors. During the Mandalorian civil war, these shields protected Bo-Katan Kryze's troops from blaster fire when they were trapped and exposed by Maul's Mandalorian super commandos. Fenn Rau equipped the vambraces he gifted to Sabine Wren with a shield projector. She used this shield in her battle against Gar Saxon outside the Wren Stronghold on Krownest.
One such shield belonged to Markona, capable of deflecting a lightsaber and projecting from his gauntlet. On Glavis Ringworld, Paz Vizsla used a shield projected from his left gauntlet to defend against blows from the Darksaber during his duel with Din Djarin.
