In the year 4 ABY, the Freemakers embarked on a quest to rescue the Alliance Fleet from annihilation at the hands of the Galactic Empire. To accomplish this, the Freemakers journeyed to the planet Jakku alongside Quarrie, a ship engineer from Mon Calamari, and Valeria, a pilot from the Rebel Alliance. Their objective was to assemble the Arrowhead, a powerful vessel capable of shifting the balance in the Galactic Civil War. Despite facing opposition from Imperial officers Durpin and Plumestriker, the Freemakers succeeded in constructing the ship and utilizing it to protect the Alliance Fleet from the Empire's forces.
During the time of the Galactic Civil War, Rowan Freemaker, who was Force-sensitive, experienced a Force vision that instructed him to construct a formidable starship known as the Arrowhead. This ship was prophesied to have the power to alter the course of the conflict. Consequently, Rowan and his family initiated a quest to build the Arrowhead, which involved a series of adventures to acquire its essential components, including embersteel blades, a proton suspension housing, and a massive kyber crystal.
After successfully gathering these parts, the Freemakers made their way back to the Alliance Fleet, only to discover that it was under assault by the Imperial Navy. Braving the onslaught of Imperial laser fire and TIE fighters, the Freemakers managed to land in the hangar of the Home One. Recognizing the danger of installing the kyber crystal onto the Arrowhead amidst the ongoing battle, Quarrie, the Mon Calamari engineer, persuaded the Freemakers that they needed to assemble the ship at a safer location. Accompanied by Lieutenant Valeria, a seasoned pilot from the Rebel Alliance, they departed aboard the StarScavenger and Arrowhead.
To avoid attracting the attention of the Empire after evading TIE fighters, the Arrowhead and StarScavenger made their way to the desolate planet of Jakku. Both starships successfully landed on the desert world. However, the Arrowhead unexpectedly sank into the sands and exploded. The Freemakers, along with Quarrie and Valeria, were able to locate the components of the Arrowhead, with the exception of the energy matrix activator. This crucial component had fallen into the possession of Durpin and Plumestriker, Imperial officers who had been reassigned to Jakku as a consequence of their repeated failures. With the Alliance fleet facing imminent danger, Admiral Gial Ackbar entrusted Quarrie and the Freemakers with the task of assembling the Arrowhead.
Zander Freemaker and Roger tried to get back the energy matrix activator but were taken prisoner by Durpin and Plumestriker. Later that night, Kordi Freemaker disguised herself as Darth Vader and created a diversion for Durpin and Plumestriker. Lieutenant Valeria then incapacitated Durpin and Plumestriker, which allowed the Freemakers and Valeria to recover the stolen energy matrix activator and escape into the desert aboard the Mini Scavenger.
The Imperials pursued them in their AT-ST walker. Meanwhile, Rowan and Quarrie had almost finished putting the Arrowhead back together. Valeria and the other Freemakers showed up with the Imperial AT-ST walker right behind them. Valeria kept the Imperials busy with a blaster long enough for Rowan to get the kyber crystal and energy matrix activator installed on the Arrowhead.
Before the AT-ST walker could take out Valeria, Zander crashed the Mini Scavenger into it. While this didn't destroy the walker, it did give the Freemakers enough time to get the ship powered up. Zander then flew the finished Arrowhead and used its Embersteel Blade to cut Durpin and Plumestriker's AT-ST walker in half, destroying it.
At the same time, the Imperial fleet was causing serious damage to the Alliance fleet's starfighters. With the capital ships unable to defend themselves, the Empire sent out TIE bombers to destroy them. Shortly after, the StarScavenger and Arrowhead came back and shot down the bombers. Following Kordi's suggestion, Zander used the Arrowhead's Embersteel Blade to slice through an Imperial Star Destroyer that was getting close to the Home One, destroying the ship. The remaining Imperial Star Destroyers then retreated into hyperspace.
After the battle, the Freemakers were celebrated as heroes by the Rebel Alliance for saving the Alliance fleet. As a thank you, Admiral Ackbar promoted Zander to flight cadet, Kordi to his new quartermaster, and Rowan Freemaker to Master Ship Builder. On the other hand, Emperor Palpatine was very angry that Rowan had caused so much damage to his fleet, so he called for Darth Vader and the Imperial hunter droid M-OC.
With the Arrowhead now in their possession, the Rebel Alliance launched attacks against Imperial forces on Kashyyyk and near Alzoc III. M-OC was successful in trapping Rowan Freemaker on Qalydon, but Darth Vader intervened and incapacitated the droid, taking the boy into custody.
The Mission to save the Rebel Fleet was first shown in the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Season Two episode "Flight of the Arrowhead," which was first broadcast on Disney XD on August 9, 2017.
