Palm fruit shell

Palm fruit shell, often referred to simply as palm fruit, was a type of fruit that originated from a planet whose name is unknown. This fruit was safe for consumption by members of the human race and could be located on the Inner Rim world Chaaktil and the Outer Rim world Koboh, where seeds could be discovered in Alderaanian Blue, Dathomirian Red, Felucian Yellow, and Nabooan Green variations.

In the year 9 BBY, the human Jedi Knight known as Cal Kestis acquired several palm fruit seeds on Koboh and subsequently placed them in the garden situated on top of the Pyloon's Saloon bar within the Rambler's Reach Outpost.

Resistance agent Vi Moradi consumed and enjoyed palm fruit while residing on her native planet Chaaktil. This fruit was among the specifics that Moradi used when portraying her homeworld to Salju, who is the Batuuan proprietor of a gas station located on the Outer Rim planet Batuu in the year 34 ABY.

During that same year, green Palmfruit Yogurt was provided as part of the breakfast selection in the Crown of Corellia Dining Room aboard the MPO-1400 Purgill-class star cruiser named Halcyon. These yogurts were also a component of the ship's breakfast boxes for takeaway, which were accessible to patrons at the Sublight Lounge.

Behind the scenes

The first mention of palm fruit occurred in Galaxy's Edge: Black Spire, a novel written by Delilah S. Dawson in 2019. The fruit then made its initial appearance as an ingredient in Palmfruit Yogurt, a dish offered at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel situated in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, which became accessible to the public on March 1, 2022. The real-world recipe for this yogurt incorporates acai fruit.
