Snoke's Slippers
Snoke's Slippers were integral to the elaborate attire donned by the First Order's Supreme Leader. This refined footwear choice offered Snoke considerable comfort. Their outer surfaces were adorned with gold embroidery, while the inner lining was a striking red, harmonizing with the golden robe and belt that comprised the leader's ensemble. During 34 ABY, Snoke could be seen wearing these slippers within his throne room located on his flagship, the Supremacy, where he received General Armitage Hux, his apprentice Kylo Ren, and Rey, a Jedi trainee. This powerful pair of Force-sensitives ultimately proved to be a lethal combination. It was while wearing these slippers that Supreme Leader Snoke met his demise at the hands of Ren, his body cleaved in two, his feet remaining encased within the slippers.
Description

Supreme Leader Snoke, a master of the dark side of the Force left in constant pain and disfigured from his choices, valued comfort, as evidenced by his choice of two-tone slippers. Each slipper featured a pointed toe, and the golden exterior was embellished with intricate swirling embroidery, while the interior presented a stark contrast in solid red.
History
Sometime between 28 ABY and 34 ABY, Snoke's Slippers resided on a planet situated within the Rarlech system as their owner instructed Kylo Ren in the ways of the dark side. Employing Ren's command shuttle as a means of transportation, they subsequently journeyed to the planet Dagobah, making a visit to the Cave of Evil to assess the resolve of the conflicted apprentice. During this very time, the slippers were on Snoke's feet as he rose from his throne aboard his flagship, the Supremacy, to command Kylo Ren and First Order General Armitage Hux to demonstrate the power of the First Order on the world of Karaxis.
In 34 ABY, the Supreme Leader was wearing his slippers when he summoned General Hux to his throne room to deliver a reprimand to the officer for allowing the Resistance to escape during the Battle of D'Qar. Following Hux's dismissal, Snoke received his apprentice, scolding him for his defeat at the hands of the Resistance and Rey, their Jedi trainee. Enraged, the slipper-wearing master stood from his throne to approach Ren, unleashing a burst of Force lightning.

Subsequently, Snoke's Slippers were present as Ren brought a captive Rey into their owner's throne room, much to his satisfaction. The Supreme Leader then placed Rey's lightsaber beside him on the throne. He proceeded to torture Rey before shoving her towards Kylo Ren, ordering him to murder her. However, Ren harbored his own intentions.
Harnessing the Force to deceive his master and move Rey's [lightsaber](/article/lightsaber], Ren activated the weapon, bisecting the surprised slipper wearer. His visions and senses having failed him, Snoke's torso collapsed over his legs and footwear. When General Hux investigated the devastated throne room following a skirmish between Rey, Ren, and the Supreme Leader's deceased Praetorian Guards, he discovered the broken body at the throne, the slippers still adorning Snoke's feet. Later that same year, a statue depicting Snoke wearing his slippers was put on display by the collector Dok-Ondar within his antiques shop located on the planet Batuu.
Behind the scenes

Snoke's Slippers made their debut appearance in the sequel trilogy film from 2017, Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. Robert Rowley conceptualized the slippers, and Ian Jones, a props maker, hand-crafted them to accommodate Snoke's sizable feet. In The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, costume supervisor David Crossman revealed that there were plans for the character to speak about his slippers in the film. Kristin Baver identified them in the 2023 reference book, Star Wars 100 Objects.
In the first issue of the 2025 comic series Star Wars: Legacy of Vader—penned by Charles Soule, illustrated by Luke Ross, and published by Marvel Comics on February 5, 2025—Kylo Ren jettisons Snoke's bisected remains into space shortly after the events depicted in The Last Jedi. Snoke's Slippers are absent from the issue; instead, his corpse is shown wearing simple golden boots.
