Shortly following the recapture of Vader's starship, an event that occurred in 19 BBY, a clone trooper found himself stationed on the Jedi space station known as Brighthome. This soldier was among the first stormtroopers of the newly formed Galactic Empire. This particular trooper commanded a squad of other former clone troopers in an assault against who they believed to be a Jedi, but was actually the Sith apprentice Darth Vader. In the subsequent fight, all of the clone stormtroopers met their end; they were killed. The armor of this trooper was a slightly altered version of the phase II clone trooper armor, distinguished by an enlarged shoulder pad [armor](/article/armor].
In the year 19 BBY, not long after the conclusion of the Clone Wars, the [clone trooper](/article/clone_trooper] served as a stormtrooper within the ranks of the Galactic Empire. He was under the command of the commanding officer of a garrison comprised of fellow clones, who were dispatched to Brighthome, a Jedi station situated in the Mid Rim. Their mission involved the collection and cataloging of artifacts located within the space station. While two clones, named Ding and Kicker, were arguing about what their future held now that the war was over, the stormtrooper observed an approaching, unidentified starship via hologram. This led the officer to order both to focus on the incoming target. The approaching vessel was, in reality, the starship belonging to Sith apprentice Darth Vader, the apprentice of Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine.

Under orders from Palpatine, who was secretly Sith Master Darth Sidious, Vader sought to locate a Jedi to seize their kyber crystal and gain access to a Jedi databank. Instead of providing the authorization codes for Brighthome, Vader chose to kill the stormtrooper force stationed there. Vader engaged the four security ARC-170 starfighters, destroying them all. Witnessing this feat on a display screen within the station, the stormtroopers expressed astonishment at the pilot's skill. Before anyone could suggest the pilot was a Jedi, the stormtrooper emphasized that all Jedi were dead. The trooper continued, informing the others that the pilot had deactivated the station's security protocols and was preparing to dock. He ordered them to defend Brighthome and proceed to the hangar deck immediately. As Vader neared breaching a security door, the stormtrooper commanded his troops to prepare for the imminent breach.
As Vader forced his way through the door, the officer ordered the others to eliminate the threat. Vader defended himself against incoming lasers using Force deflection, while using the Force to kill several stormtroopers, despite sustaining multiple hits. The stormtrooper urged his men to maintain pressure and concentrate their fire as Vader continued to eliminate stormtroopers and used the Force to retrieve a green-bladed lightsaber from a wall. As Vader cut down more clone stormtroopers, the stormtrooper ordered the remaining troopers to retreat to another level and regroup.

Before the officer could complete his order, Vader slashed across the stormtrooper's abdomen, resulting in his death. The clone's body was left behind as Vader dropped the Jedi blade and proceeded to access the databank. The only survivors of Vader's attack were Ding and Kicker, who confronted Vader as his droid searched the system for any Barash Vow-takers, with a grenade. However, Vader repelled the explosion and then Force choked both clones, killing them before allowing the grenade to detonate. Vader departed Brighthome in his starship, now aware of a Barash-taker named Kirak Infil'a, leaving the station a desolate ruin.
As a human clone derived from the bounty hunter Jango Fett, the clone trooper stood at a height of 1.83 meters. Following the activation of their behavioral modification biochips, most clones, in a display of their obedience, reverted their armor to its standard, all-white appearance, foregoing individual customizations and colors. Although he wore an all-white suit, the officer's armor featured a scratch on the helmet and an enlarged shoulder pad, distinguishing him from the rest of the garrison after Order 66.

Despite this, the officer, as dictated by the biochips implanted in all clones, remained loyal to the new Empire and considered the Jedi Order a threat. As the leader of the Brighthome garrison, the officer took the duty Ding found to be boring seriously, even snapping for Ding and Kicker to stop talking so they could focus on the incoming starship that belonged to Vader. The officer could not believe that Vader, unaware of who he was, could be a Jedi. The clone trooper instead believed that all of the Jedi had all been killed. Unconcerned, the stormtrooper led their forces against the threat, trying to defend the station despite the odds until the end.
The stormtrooper was equipped with a slightly modified version of the phase II clone trooper armor. The helmet had a cut intersecting the visor on the right side, and he sported a large shoulder pad [armor](/article/armor]. He carried a blaster rifle for combat.
The stormtrooper made his first appearance, albeit unnamed, in Darth Vader (2017) 2, a canon comic penned by Charles Soule and illustrated by Giuseppe Camuncoli, which was released in 2017.
