Unidentified Jedi artifact

Once upon a time, within the Jedi temple situated on the Moon of Staggec within the Outer Rim Territories, there existed a precious and age-old Jedi artifact. This artifact served as a map, guiding seekers to various Jedi locations. Over time, the temple fell into disrepair and was ultimately deserted. However, in 22 BBY, during the initial stages of the Clone Wars that pitted the Galactic Republic against the Confederacy of Independent Systems, this artifact resurfaced. It was unearthed during an archeological dig that took place on the planet of Bursant. During a visit to the dig site, the esteemed Jedi Master Mace Windu detected the presence of an artifact imbued with immense power from the Force. Simultaneously, Count Dooku, the Head of State of the Confederacy and a Sith apprentice under the tutelage of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, harbored a strong desire for the artifact, intending to wield it against his own Sith Master. Thus, he embarked on a hunt for it. Dooku launched an assault on the dig site, but his efforts to seize the artifact proved futile. Instead, it was discovered by Viiveenn, a Wookiee youngling, who subsequently entrusted it to her father, Yarua. Yarua held the position of senator in the Galactic Senate of the Galactic Republic, representing the planet of Kashyyyk from the Mid Rim. Determined to obtain the artifact from Yarua, Dooku dispatched General Grievous. Under the mistaken belief that he was engaging in negotiations with the Moon of Staggec delegation to secure their allegiance to the Republic, Yarua pledged to hand over the artifact, effectively returning it to its original home. However, upon realizing that he had stumbled into a Separatist trap, he concealed the artifact within a doll belonging to his daughter and instructed her to seek refuge in a forest. Yarua ultimately made the ultimate sacrifice to shield his daughter from the clutches of the Separatist General Grievous. Subsequently, Yarua's allies within the Republic orchestrated her safe return to Kashyyyk. Given that only Viiveenn possessed knowledge of her father's hiding place, the Republic presumed the artifact to be lost. In reality, it remained hidden within the doll that Viiveenn carried with her. Driven by a desire to prove her worth to Count Dooku, Asajj Ventress, a Sith assassin, embarked on a quest to locate the Jedi artifact. Guided by the Force, Ventress was drawn to the ruins on the Moon of Staggec and then to the Mid Rim world of Naboo. There, she discovered both the artifact and the doll in the possession of a Gungan, who had stumbled upon them. Ventress attempted to seize the items, threatening the Gungan's life, but ultimately decided to abandon them upon realizing that Dooku held little regard for her life. Viiveenn eventually managed to recover the doll, only to lose it once more during an Attack on a Republic fleet.

Later on, during the Clone Wars, the doll was discovered by Halorum, a shopkeeper who kept it aboard her ship. During a mission to Bavana, Quinlan Vos, a Jedi Master, sensed the doll's history and significance. However, Halorum refused to part with the doll, demanding that Vos leave it behind. The artifact remained undiscovered until 4 ABY, following the Battle of Endor, when a group of members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic stumbled upon it within the doll. C-3PO, a Protocol droid, and Luke Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, recognized it as a map leading to Jedi sites. Encouraged by the prospect of recovering lost Jedi knowledge, they embraced the opportunity. Subsequently, Leia Organa generously donated the doll to displaced children residing within the Alliance Fleet. During the Rise of the First Order, Kylo Ren, a dark side adept and enforcer of the First Order, sensed the presence of the artifact after he found the doll on the planet Karaxis in the possession of the family of Kelvin Mann. However, unaware of the source of the presence, he left it behind.
