A doll, once belonging to Rotta and crafted by the Wookiee Brewhada, eventually became the property of Viiveenn during the era of the Clone Wars. In a mission to the moon of Staggec, her father, Yarua, concealed a Jedi artifact within the doll to prevent its capture by the Separatists. Despite the capture of both Viiveenn and Yarua, Yarua sacrificed his life to ensure his daughter's safety, after which the Jedi transported Viiveenn and her doll to her family residing on Kashyyyk. Sometime later that year, a young Gungan discovered the doll on Naboo. Asajj Ventress, who had been assigned to track down the artifact, refused to take the doll as an act of defiance against Count Dooku. Subsequently, the doll was recovered, and Viiveenn brought it to an archaeological dig. It was then lost during an attack and subsequently found by clone commando "Wrecker." Clone Force 99 then took it on a mission to Hylanth, where it was lost again, only to be found and kept aboard her ship by the shopkeeper Halorum.
During the time of the Imperial Era, Viiveen enlisted the services of the bounty hunter Boba Fett in an effort to locate the doll. Once recovered from Halorum, it was gifted to a girl named Tobie, who then lost it during the Galactic Civil War, after which the engineer Evans Basch discovered it. Basch kept it aboard the YT-1300 light freighter Millennium Falcon during the Battle of Endor. Later, the Alliance to Restore the Republic discovered the artifact, and the doll was given to displaced children. During the Rise of the First Order, a family on Karaxis possessed the doll until Kylo Ren discovered it. During the First Order-Resistance War, Viiveenn's doll was aboard a train on the planet Kamil and was utilized as a weapon against stormtroopers by the Resistance soldier Finn. Upon his return to the Resistance, Finn gifted the doll to his friend Rey, who then returned it to Viiveen.
Greedo, the bounty hunter, presented the Wookiee Brewhada to Jabba the Hutt in an attempt to atone for a previous failure, mistakenly believing him to be a fugitive sought after by the crime lord. Jabba, who had already dealt with the actual fugitive, was both surprised and angered to discover that Brewhada was merely a toymaker. Seizing the opportunity, Greedo suggested that the Wookiee craftsman could create a high-quality toy for Jabba's infant son, Rotta. Pleased by this development, Jabba spared Greedo and decided to keep Brewhada in his service indefinitely. Under Jabba's employment, Brewhada fulfilled his assigned task, resulting in the creation of the doll. Subsequently, the toy came into the possession of Yarua.
Senator Padmé Amidala, along with her protocol droid C-3PO, was later accompanied by Yarua to the Moon of Staggec. There, a delegation had offered a Jedi artifact, recovered by Yarua from an archaeological dig site mapping ancient Jedi locations, in exchange for an alliance with the Galactic Republic. The arrival of Separatist naval forces revealed the presence of a trap, prompting Yaura to tear open the doll's seams and hide the artifact inside, entrusting it to his daughter, Viiveenn. As Viiveenn would later recall, this would be the last gift she ever received from her father.
Subsequently, Yaura was captured by forces under the command of General Grievous and brought before the military commander, who demanded information from the Wookiee, claiming he knew what Grievous sought. A rescue attempt led by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi initiated a conflict during which Grievous took Viiveenn hostage, with the doll in his possession. Yaura threw himself in front of Grievous, sacrificing himself to buy time for Viiveenn—and the doll—to escape to safety. Kenobi, Amidala, and Kenobi's Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, later speculated about what item of importance could have motivated Grievous to pursue Yaura, unaware of the artifact as Viiveenn clutched the doll to her chest beside them, as they arranged for her return to Kashyyyk.
Asajj Ventress, the Sith assassin, sought the Jedi artifact concealed within Viiveenn's doll, hoping to prove her worth to Count Dooku. Through the Force, Ventress was drawn to the Outer Rim Moon of Staggec, where she was ambushed, and then to the Mid Rim world of Naboo, where she discovered both the artifact and the doll in the possession of a Gungan who had found them. While attempting to steal the toy, Ventress was intercepted and attacked by Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker. Ventress later located the Gungan holding the doll and artifact, threatening the individual's life before ultimately deciding to abandon the items upon realizing Dooku did not value her life. Viiveenn later succeeded in reclaiming the doll.
During an attack on a Republic fleet, Viiveenn lost the doll, which was subsequently discovered by the clone commando "Wrecker," who expressed a desire to keep it. He brought the doll with Clone Force 99 on a mission to Hylanth to investigate Doctor Krail; however, Wrecker lost the doll during a fight with a modified battle droid. Halorum, the shopkeeper, then recovered it.
Later in the Clone Wars, Halorum kept the doll on her ship. During a mission to Bavana, Jedi Master Quinlan Vos sensed the doll's history and significance, but Halorum refused to give it to him.
While on a mission to the planet Banas, Leia Organa encountered the doll in Halorum's shop Lost and Found and remarked on its similarity to a doll she once owned. She later gifted it to the child Tobie.
During the [Imperial Era](/article/imperial_era], Viiveenn met with the bounty hunter Boba Fett on the planet Ridley and requested his assistance in locating the doll on her behalf. Although initially reluctant to accept a job from a child—especially one involving the recovery of a lost toy—Fett was moved by Viiveenn's explanation of the item's connection to her deceased father. Fett agreed to the request but made it clear that he could not guarantee results, as tracking an object differed from tracking a person.
Following a skirmish with Trandoshan mercenaries led by a rival bounty hunter, Bossk, Fett brought Viiveenn to Coruscant. Fett declined to accept Viiveenn's credits, as he had not completed the assigned task, but encouraged her to continue her search for the item, given its meaningful history.
During the Galactic Civil War, Tobie and the doll were aboard the rebel refugee vessel Dorlanna, which had to be evacuated following an Imperial attack. The engineer Evans Basch assisted Tobie in entering an escape pod; however, Tobie lost the doll, prompting Basch to promise its return. In the aftermath, Basch was unable to locate Tobie and resolved to find a new owner for the doll.
Basch returned to the Alliance, where preparations were underway for the Battle of Endor, and he was assigned to the crew of the YT-1300 light freighter Millennium Falcon. Considering the doll a good luck charm, he hung it up in the Falcon. Although some of the crew found it childish, he believed it was important. Despite the odds, the Rebellion successfully destroyed the second Death Star. Basch and the crew landed for repairs and celebrated their victory.
Later, Basch showed the doll to Leia Organa and the other rebels, who discovered the Jedi artifact inside. C-3PO and Luke Skywalker recognized it as a map to Jedi sites and were encouraged by the opportunity to recover Jedi knowledge. Acknowledging the doll's journey, Organa decided to donate it to displaced children living in the Alliance Fleet.
During the Rise of the First Order, the doll was on the planet Karaxis in the possession of the family of Kelvin Mann, an influential citizen. During an invasion of Karaxis led by the First Order, Kylo Ren captured Mann. Ren recognized the artifact inside Viiveenn's doll as powerful in the Force but was unaware of its source. Supreme Leader Snoke later informed Ren that objects could possess power in the Force. Viiveenn's doll later found its way to the planet Kamil, where it was recovered by Finn, a Resistance agent. Finn subsequently gave it to his friend Rey, who then returned the doll to Viiveenn on Kashyyyk following a skirmish on Life Day.
The doll appears in some form in every released issue of Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories. Hyperspace Stories 2 features the doll, though it is mistakenly drawn differently from its other appearances. Writer Cecil Castellucci confirmed that this doll was intended to be Viiveenn's. Viiveenn's doll is featured only on the cover of Hyperspace Stories 11. However, the issue is connected to the overall story by revealing how Yarua obtained the Jedi artifact that he would later hide in Viiveenn's doll.
