Unidentified tech stormtrooper (Colossus)

A tech stormtrooper in the service of the First Order was a male human. This tech stormtrooper accompanied Commander Pyre in 34 ABY to the Colossus, a supertanker fuel depot located on the planet Castilon, with the mission to hunt down Eila and Kel, two orphaned children originating from Tehar.

Before coming across Kel, they were patrolling the Colossus marketplace. They chased him to the Engineering Level of the platform, where the children were trapped. The stormtrooper and their allies were tricked into believing the orphans had perished, and the trooper then departed the Colossus to head back to base.

Biography

Pyre orders the tech stormtooper to chase Kel.

In the year 34 ABY, a tech stormtrooper received orders to go to the Colossus, a refueling station on the planet Castilon. This deployment came after Captain Phasma learned that two orphaned children, who were the only witnesses to the First Order's actions on Tehar, had been seen on board the station. This trooper served under the command of Commander Pyre, working alongside a standard stormtrooper. The tech stormtrooper and the others encountered an alien in the Colossus marketplace, and Pyre assisted the trooper in interrogating the alien. Following this, their companion spotted Kel, one of the children, and the group, following Pyre's orders, began to chase after him.

Kazuda Xiono, a Resistance spy, along with his friends BB-8, an astromech droid, and Neeku Vozo, a mechanic, helped the child escape into a chute. After the First Order was evaded by the group, Pyre took the tech stormtrooper and the other trooper to the chute's exit, where they caught up to the fleeing targets. The First Order soldiers fired their blasters on the stun setting at the fleeing group. A locked door slowed the chase as the orphan's group escaped into the Colossus's Engineering Level. The escapees managed to avoid the trooper's fire by going through another door, aided by the Chelidae that lived in the Colossus's engineering section, even though the First Order team cut through the door.

The tech stormtrooper scans the waters of Castilon for life signs.

The trooper went with their group after the First Order blasted through the following door, approaching a group of Chelidae protecting Kel and his sister Eila with their gun drawn. Pyre then insisted that the children either submit to First Order control or face destruction. The orphans refused and appeared to jump from an open grate into the waters of Castilon. The trooper scanned the water on Pyre's orders and reported decreasing body temperatures and slowing life signs. In reality, the Chelidae were masking themselves to deceive the First Order, while the children were safely hiding below deck. Pyre, believing the children were dead and therefore satisfied, informed Phasma that the mission had been successful and led the trooper and their partner back to base.

Personality and traits

The tech stormtrooper was a male human. They followed Pyre's orders without any hesitation and calmly reported the supposed deaths of Kel and Eila.

Equipment

The First Order stormtrooper armor was standard for the tech stormtrooper. They had a macro scope on their back and kept an F-11D blaster rifle holstered on their right hip. The trooper used the stun setting on their blaster while chasing Kel and used the scanning function of their macro scope to verify the orphans' supposed demise.

Behind the scenes

The animated television series Star Wars Resistance featured the tech stormtrooper for the first time in "The Children from Tehar," the sixth episode of the first season, which debuted on November 4, 2018. Before the episode was broadcast, the trooper appeared in the series' extended trailer, which was posted on the official Star Wars YouTube channel on September 27 of that year.
