Unidentified Togruta (Jarl)

A male individual of the Togruta species was a member of a crew operating on the planet of Coruscant. While in pursuit of a droid believed to hold the key to a hidden treasure, the crew's activities led them to Dex's Diner, where they took the patrons as hostages. A lightfight then erupted, after which the droid revealed a message pinpointing the treasure's location. However, Dexter Jettster, the diner's proprietor, deceived Jarl and his crew by falsely claiming the treasure had been obliterated long ago. Disheartened, they departed the establishment.

Biography

The Togruta was whacked in the head with a frying pan by Dexter Jettster (pictured).

A male Togruta was a part of the crew led by the Weequay named Jarl, which also included a human and the protocol droid known as T7, all situated on the planet Coruscant. During the era of the Galactic Republic, a Mirialan by the name of Servit inquired with Jarl about the value of a family EX droid. When Jarl's attempts to obtain the droid from him failed, due to his knowledge of its potential as a valuable clue to a treasure, he and his crew pursued Servit, ultimately arriving at the eatery Dex's Diner. The Togruta, along with the human and T7, held the customers at blaster point while Jarl attempted to persuade Servit to relinquish the droid. However, Dexter Jettster, the owner, briefly incapacitated the Weequay with a frying pan, prompting the rest of his crew to initiate gunfire.

A [lightfight](/article/lightfight] ensued; Jettster's frying pans were eventually victorious against the Togruta and human, while T7 was rendered inoperable after brakkenback stew became lodged in his circuits. Jarl then re-entered the scene, convincing Servit, through the threat of a blaster, to play the holorecording stored on the EX droid. Upon its completion, Jarl was filled with excitement at the prospect of finding the treasure, but his enthusiasm was dampened by Jettster's loud laughter; the Besalisk asserted that the location of the treasure mentioned in the recording had been destroyed fifty years prior in a supernova within the Ishram system. Jettster's claim was a lie—the true location was in the Arath system—a fact unknown to Jarl, who instructed the Togruta to verify Jettster's statement on a datapad. Jarl failed to double-check whether the coordinates aligned with the Ishram system, so when the Togruta, looking pale, confirmed the system's destruction, the crew departed, dejected. As they left, the Togruta muttered about a missing bounty hunter on the planet Batuu.
