A task force of the Alliance to Restore the Republic was assembled by Admiral Raddus when he defied Alliance High Command orders and traveled to the Galactic Empire's fortified planet, Scarif, in an attempt to steal plans for the planet-killing Death Star. The task force was split into three groups, supporting Red Squadron, Gold Squadron, and Green Squadron while Blue Squadron infiltrated the Golan M3185 space station Scarif Shield Gate.
The MC75 Star Cruiser Profundity served as the flagship of the task force, and was supported by three EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigates, several CR90 corvettes, several Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvette, a number of Braha'tok-class gunships, and multiple GR-75 medium transports.
