Aldar Beedo, sometimes dubbed the "Hit Man," was a male Glymphid from the Legends continuity who made his living as a Podracer pilot, assassin, and bounty hunter during the closing decades of the Galactic Republic. Possessing a sadistic and cruel disposition, Beedo would offer his skills to anyone who could provide the largest financial incentive, taking on assignments that included both the killing of prominent individuals and acting as a bodyguard. While participating in Podraces, he piloted a blue MARK IV Flat-Twin Turbojet, which was more recognized for its sheer size than its actual racing prowess. Beedo would also lease his services to other Podracers who needed tasks completed on the track, and his enormous Turbojet was generally the ideal vehicle for such endeavors. At some point prior to 32 BBY, Aldar Beedo's capabilities as an assassin were requested by a smuggler seeking the elimination of a rival crime lord. The target was Borzu Nale, a Fluggrian, and Beedo accepted the contract. However, this agreement drew unwanted attention to Beedo, most notably the anger of Nale's son, Kam Nale.
Later, in 32 BBY, Beedo participated in the Boonta Eve Classic race held on Tatooine, a world in the Outer Rim. Unbeknownst to Beedo, Kam Nale had followed him to Tatooine with the intention of killing the Glymphid. Simultaneously, Beedo had also entered into a partnership with Wan Sandage, a Devlikk, to assassinate Sandage's rival, Sebulba, the Dug champion of Boonta. This assassination attempt was unsuccessful, as Beedo was unable to catch up to Sebulba. Furthermore, Sandage crashed into a sandcrawler, rendering Beedo's efforts futile even if he had managed to eliminate Sebulba. Undeterred, Beedo and Sandage attempted another assassination during the subsequent race on Malastare, the Vinta Harvest Classic. Beedo tried to kill Sebulba on two separate occasions: once during a preliminary race and again during the main event. However, complications arose in both instances, preventing the completion of the assignment.
Ultimately, Sandage's health deteriorated, leading to his death, and Beedo decided to abandon the contract. Instead, he began working for his former target as a bodyguard for the 24 BBY racing season. Beedo and Sebulba formed a formidable alliance, with Beedo competing in all three major circuits and accumulating a significant number of opponent takedowns. The Glymphid also gained popularity on Gamorr, where his aggressive racing style was well-received by the crowd. However, this partnership was short-lived, as Nale, disguised as the hardcore Podracer "Elan Mak," relentlessly pursued Beedo. Eventually, Nale reclaimed his father's criminal empire and utilized his family's wealth to hire mercenaries to locate the elusive Glymphid. Beedo was eventually captured by one of the mercenaries on the swampy jungle planet of Baroonda while participating in a Podrace, and was brought back to Nale to face a long-awaited revenge.

Aldar Beedo, a young male Glymphid, was born on Ploo II, a planet in the Expansion Region, during a period of turmoil within the Ploo sector. The Glymphids were engaged in a prolonged war against the neighboring world of Ploo IV, the home of the Fluggrians, a squat species of amphibians. The Fluggrians, known for their close-knit criminal organizations, harbored a deep animosity towards the slender Glymphids, mirroring the Glymphids' hatred for them. Amidst this violent chaos, Beedo ascended through the ranks of hired assassins, evolving into a ruthless and sadistic individual who offered his services to the highest bidder. As if his current path of thrill-seeking wasn't enough, Aldar Beedo also embraced the perilous sport of Podracing.
Beedo discovered that the Podracing world had just as much demand for assassins and hired guns as any other, and that the racing itself could serve as an additional source of income. After purchasing a blue Manta RamAir MARK IV Flat-Twin Turbojet, Beedo brought his limited piloting skills to the dangerous sport. Despite the vehicle initially lacking strong acceleration, it boasted an impressive boost package to propel it to the forefront, along with exceptional handling. Furthermore, its massive engines made it a formidable and intimidating presence on the track. With his aggressive racing style, Beedo eventually earned the moniker "Hit Man," a title that unintentionally alluded to his other violent occupation.
By the year 32 BBY, a smuggler named Orin Nyell was achieving significant success by smuggling water to Sernpidal. However, the water originated directly from Ploo IV, which was particularly detrimental to the operations of Borzu Nale, the crime lord of the Fluggrians. Seeking to eliminate the competition, Nyell sought out Beedo, the Glymphid hit man turned Podracer pilot, and hired him to eliminate the head of the Nale crime family. Aldar Beedo accepted the job, and it wasn't long before Borzu was dead, Beedo's payment was processed, and Nyell was free to conduct his business. With that chapter seemingly closed, Aldar Beedo returned to his racing career.
Despite being considered a second-rate pilot, Beedo managed to establish a reputation for himself on the icy world of Ando Prime. Beedo proved to be a natural ice racer, partly due to his RamAir's excellent traction, and eventually became the track favorite on a course known as Beedo's Wild Ride, named in the Glymphid's honor after he set a three-lap record time of 03:16.697 minutes. The "Hit Man" soon became known as one of the most aggressive pilots in the sport, brutally ramming any other pilot who dared to come near him.
Meanwhile, the matter of Borzu Nale's murder resurfaced without Beedo's knowledge. When he eliminated Borzu, the Glymphid failed to consider Borzu's son, Kam Nale. Nale had been diligently tracking down his father's killer for some time, mostly without a name to follow. When Beedo entered the Boonta Eve Classic of 32 BBY, Nale soon after identified Beedo as the killer. Nale followed Beedo to the Boonta race on Tatooine, planning to enter the race himself and dispose of Beedo on the track. However, Nale wasn't the only one on the hunt. Orin Nyell had learned of Kam Nale's existence, and fearing that the young Fluggrian might try to retake control of his father's empire, Nyell hired the rookie bounty hunter Rango Tel to take care of Nale once and for all.

The Boonta Eve Classic on Tatooine was an annual event where Podracer pilots from all over the galaxy gathered to test their skills on Tatooine's harsh desert terrain. It was there that Beedo put both his racing and assassin skills to the test. Both seasoned professionals and newcomers regularly participated in the race, although the crowd favorite was the vicious Dug pilot Sebulba, who was known for using various illegal weapons and tactics to gain an advantage during any given race. However, Sebulba was also quite skilled in his own right, but both his skill and perverse racing style created numerous enemies for him. One such enemy was the aging Devlikk playboy Wan Sandage. Devlikks had notoriously short lifespans, and at the age of six, Sandage believed that his chances of beating Sebulba in a race were diminishing too quickly for comfort. The Devlikk figured he had one last card to play. Sandage had learned of the killing of Borzu Nale, and at some point connected the dots and drew a picture of Beedo as the assassin. Learning that Beedo was also participating in the Boonta, Sandage sought the Glymphid out, locating him in the Tatooine city of Mos Espa, where the Boonta was to take place.
On the eve of the Boonta race, many of the pilots had retired to Mos Espa's Poodoo Lounge to attend the glimmik concert that racer and two-time Boonta winner Boles Roor was conducting. Sandage approached Beedo while the latter was enjoying a drink and explained his predicament. Beedo listened to the Devlikk's story, though Beedo began to rebuke Sandage after the Devlikk informed Beedo about his knowledge of Borzu Nale. Sandage quickly offered a sum of one hundred thousand wupiupi to eliminate Sebulba during the race. Aware of Sebulba's brutal race tactics and the danger of the job, Beedo demanded a price of two hundred thousand wupiupi up front, which Sandage happily agreed to pay. Sebulba entered the lounge soon after, and both pilots quickly hushed up.
While Sebulba wasn't aware of any names out to get him, he was wary of the possible attempts on his life, and quickly met up with his own hired gun, Dud Bolt. Bolt, like Beedo, worked as both a hit-man and a Podracer pilot. His job at this point though was as a bodyguard to Sebulba, and was just as dangerous as the others when on the track. Meanwhile, hidden in an apartment, Nale laid out his plan for Beedo in a recording. Having purchased a Podracer of his own, an outdated Kurtob KRT 410C, Nale planned to enter the Boonta using what money he could and shoot Beedo down during the race. In another meeting with Sandage located at the bar Maggy the Gorgon's, Beedo noted that his usual fees stood at one hundred thousand truguts for any job, with fifty-thousand upfront and the final fifty-thousand upon completion of the job. Sandage, desperate, agreed to the additional fees.

On the next morning, the racers assembled at the Mos Espa Grand Arena. Aldar Beedo's Podracer was one of the first on the grid, placed on the outside pole position of the first row, starting right next to Sebulba's massive orange Collor Pondrat Plug-F Mammoth Split-X Podracer. Dud Bolt was, in turn, right behind the both of them. Sandage, however, started in the last row of the pack on the outside position. Nale, having made it to the arena after a narrow encounter with Rango Tel that left the latter dead in the dust, started on the inside of the fourth row, having now changed his name to "Elan Mak" in hopes of avoiding the suspicions of Aldar Beedo. The race's host, Jabba the Hutt, began the race after the Troig race announcers, Fodesinbeed Annodue, conducted the opening ceremonies. With the Hutt's go ahead, the racers blasted out into the course for both victory and blood. Beedo and Mak quickly took positions behind Sebulba as the Dug viciously rammed the Gran contestant Mawhonic into a rock wall during the early moments of the race that sped through Mushroom Mesa. Sandage trailed behind the pack near the Xamster pilot Neva Kee. Sandage was quickly surpassed by the sole Human contestant, Anakin Skywalker, who had actually stalled during the race's opening moments. Mak remained in second place for a portion of the first lap, but hung back and landed behind Beedo. The Glymphid eventually ended up in third for the majority of the first lap, while Bolt stayed near the middle of the pack near the Nosaurian pilot Clegg Holdfast.
Beedo eventually fell further behind, surpassed by Gasgano, Teemto Pagalies, Mars Guo, and Skywalker during the second lap. Sebulba held the lead for both laps one and two, though he was nearly surpassed by Holdfast. To counter the Nosaurian pilot, Sebulba roasted Holdfast's engines with an illegal flamethrower. When lap three hung around, Beedo had yet to make his way back to Sebulba and "Mak" was having difficulties shooting Beedo's Pod due to Ebe E. Endocott set between them. Sandage eventually flew off course and crashed into a wayward sandcrawler, ending his chances at victory. Bolt, meanwhile, had collided with the Nuknog pilot Ark Roose. Beedo eventually caught up to the top four—Sebulba, Guo, Skywalker, and Gasgano. Using a piece of debris, Sebulba clogged the engines of Guo, causing the Phuii pilot to wreck while moving Beedo a place ahead. Skywalker and Sebulba eventually became entangled in each other's Pods, and Skywalker, upon accelerating to break off, totaled Sebulba. Beedo managed to place third with a a total time of 15:52.108 minutes while Skywalker attained victory.
After the race, Sebulba quickly purchased Skywalker's Podracer, and many of the pilots began to sign up for the next Podrace which was to be located on Malastare. While Sandage was angry for having crashed and being out-flown by Beedo, the Glymphid promised Sandage that he would finish the job on Malastare. Both pilots signed up for the Malastare race, and Mak, who had placed fifth in the Boonta behind Endocott, followed suit.

The Vinta Harvest Classic on Malastare was renowned for its course that spanned diverse terrains, including methane lakes, forests, and the city of Pixelito. The Classic featured five elimination rounds to determine who would advance to the final and main event. The fifth and final run of the elimination rounds was a course called the Phoebos Memorial Run, and Aldar Beedo had survived long enough to participate. Wan Sandage and Elan Mak had also successfully competed up to the Memorial Run, and both were still determined to settle their scores on the track. During the race's last lap, the Twi'lek racer By't Distombe was in the lead with Sebulba trailing close behind, piloting the Pod he bought from Anakin Skywalker. Racing through a methane lake, the cam droids struggled to keep the racers in focus. Aware of this, Sandage began pressuring Beedo to shoot Sebulba with his blaster.
Beedo, piloting a Podracer similar to his Mark IV, refused, believing that the timing wasn't right and that he didn't have a clear shot. However, Beedo was unaware that Mak had positioned himself above him and was preparing to fire his own blaster at the Glymphid. Neither gunman was able to make their shot, though, as Sebulba quickly took the lead ahead of Distombe. Sebulba threw an empty bottle of Vinta Harvest Ale behind him, which struck the Twi'lek racer in the forehead. Distombe lost control and flew over a geyser, causing his cockpit to explode, launching Distombe through the air and forcing the other pilots to break off and avoid Distombe's loose engines. Sebulba won the round, with Sandage in second place, followed closely by Mak and Beedo. All four, having completed each of the elimination rounds, were on their way to competing in the main event of the Vinta Classic. Beedo, however, was no longer just working on Sandage's bounty.
During the main Podracing event, the Jedi Council was attempting to mediate peace between the ruling powers of Lannik and a terrorist group known as the Red Iaro, who sought to overthrow the self-centered Lannik Prince, R'cardo Sooflie IX. The Red Iaro, in partnership with the Gran senator Aks Moe, needed the Jedi removed from the affair in order to successfully assassinate Sooflie. However, they weren't the only ones looking to remove the prince. Another Lannik terrorist known as the Chosen One was also looking to disrupt the peace conference and hired Beedo's to kill the Jedi Master Even Piell, a Lannik himself, during the upcoming Vinta Harvest race when the Jedi's speeders passed through the course. The Iaro, however, had installed several of their own suicide bombers onto the speeders.
The main Podracing event included several former Boonta contestants, including Mawhonic and Teemto Pagalies, who had both survived their wrecks from the Boonta. Mawhonic acted as the local Gran favorite. As per Malastare tradition, the alien known only as Nugtosh climbed to the top of a spire and waved the racers off of the starting grid. The pilots darted off, with Beedo keeping Sebulba square in his sights. As planned, the Jedi's taxi speeders had made their way into a portion of the track that wove through a Malastare city. The speeders carried the Jedi Council ambassadors, including Mace Windu, Piell, and Adi Gallia. Aldar Beedo narrowly missed the Jedi's speeders as he sped through the course, but slowed down in order to allow Sebulba to pass him. At this time, the suicide bombers attempted to kill the Jedi with explosive vests in order to prevent the Jedi from helping Prince Sooflie any further.
They failed in killing the Jedi, and only managed to kill themselves and destroy their speeder, which caused the Jedi Masters to fall into the path of the oncoming racers. As Beedo started to aim for Sebulba, the Jedi managed to grab hold of the Dug's power cables. After Sebulba forced them off, Gallia used a magnetic cable to latch onto Sebulba's cockpit. At this point Beedo made his move, firing his blaster pistol. The shot lagged behind and missed Sebulba's pod entirely. Instead, he shot Gallia's line and sent the Jedi tumbling down to the ground below. The Jedi were rescued by another speeder, however, and as such Beedo failed to acquire either bounty. Sebulba later sped into and killed the Red Iaro leader Myk'chur Finux Zug, who was attempting to escape the Jedi with a jetpack, thus ending the Red Iaro's efforts.

The Galactic Games occurred on Euceron in 26 BBY, attracting Aldar Beedo, Elan Mak, and Sebulba. However, Wan Sandage was absent, having passed away in 29 BBY due to old age. Mak continued his pursuit of Beedo, while the Glymphid's future was uncertain following Sandage's death. This time, Sebulba wasn't racing; his son, Hekula, aimed to demonstrate his racing prowess, urging Sebulba to witness his skills firsthand. Former Boonta Grand Prix participants Ody Mandrell and Gasgano were also present in the Great Dordon Caves, the venue for the illegal podrace, alongside racers "Scorch" Zanales and Will Neluenf. Near Beedo's pit, Ratts Tyerell's Titan 2150 Podracer was stationed, though Ratts himself was gone. His daughter, Djulla, was sold into slavery by her uncle to Sebulba after Ratts' death in the Boonta race, to keep the family financially stable. Tyerell's sons, Doby and Deland, became Podracers, hoping to earn enough money to liberate their sister, attempting to undo their uncle's actions. When Sebulba and the boys clashed, Beedo was present, with Anakin Skywalker, the Boonta champion and now a Jedi trainee, caught in the middle. Irritated and distracted, Beedo intervened, threatening them all with a blaster.
Skywalker's Jedi abilities gave him an advantage over Sebulba in the scuffle, and Doby warned Beedo that he might face a similar defeat. The Glymphid remained unconcerned. When Djulla tried to intervene, the conflict escalated, and Sebulba broke Deland's arm. Beedo, no longer interested in this "family matter," left them to prepare for the race. The "Hit Man" was now set to compete against Skywalker, who had replaced the injured Deland. At the race's start, Skywalker and Hekula quickly took the lead. Aldar Beedo closely trailed Mandrell, with Mak following behind, but Mandrell failed to navigate the next turn. Seizing the opportunity to eliminate his father's killer, Mak surged forward, smashing Beedo into the ground and disrupting the other racers; however, the Fluggrian's own pod was also damaged in the collision. Both racers, emerging from the wreckage and seeking safety on the sidelines, began to accuse each other of causing the crash. Beedo soon departed from Euceron, leaving Mak without his target once more.
By 24 BBY, Wan Sandage Jr. had taken over his father's racing legacy. Beedo had by then ended his contract to assassinate Sebulba, severing his ties with the Sandage family. Instead, the "Hit Man" began working for the Dug.

Dud Bolt's standing with Sebulba had diminished, putting the Vulptereen bodyguard's position in jeopardy. Eventually, Bolt was indeed removed from his role as Sebulba's bodyguard, and Aldar Beedo stepped in. Sebulba, aware of Beedo's assassination attempts, decided to hire the Glymphid. With these two dangerous racers aligned, they aimed to dominate the 24 BBY racing season, where many had scores to settle. Anakin Skywalker returned to the Podracing circuits, having reclaimed his old Podracer from Sebulba and Hekula. Sebulba, however, had acquired a new Plug-G Gargantua Split-X Podracer, painted black. Determined to defeat the Jedi, Sebulba planned to do so on the race course. Beedo was there to support the Dug and fend off his numerous adversaries. Bolt, now harboring intense hatred for both Beedo and Sebulba, had enhanced his skills and pod to eliminate both pilots.
Mawhonic, seeking revenge for his past crash during the Boonta race, had placed bounties on Sebulba's relatives, and Gasgano aimed to prove himself after securing financial backing from Jabba the Hutt. Sebulba also had a grudge against Teemto Pagalies, who had previously attempted to elope with his masseuse, Ann Gella. With the racers more formidable than ever, the "Hit Man" faced significant challenges. Adding to the difficulty, Elan Mak continued his relentless pursuit of the Glymphid on the race courses.
As the season commenced, Beedo participated in all three major Podracing circuits: the Galactic Trials, the Podracing Open, and the Hutt Championships, consistently qualifying for knockout rounds. In the Trials, Beedo dominated the Mos Espa Open on Tatooine, securing the second-highest number of knockouts in a single race with three. Meanwhile, Skywalker held all of the course's top speed records. On Sullust, Beedo achieved the second-best time for a three-lap race on the SoroSuub Facility course, clocking in at 03:53.30 minutes. Aldar Beedo excelled on Gamorr, setting several speed records and topping the knockout chart with five knockouts in a single race on the Watchtower Run course, solidifying his status as the course's favored pilot.

Meanwhile, Mawhonic made a name for himself in the Podracing Open, becoming the track favorite on Ryloth's Brightlands course. Aldar Beedo then stepped in, surpassing Mawhonic by securing the top position for most knockouts and the second-best three-lap record. As the Open progressed, the circuit returned to Tatooine, to Gasgano's preferred course, the Badlands. Beedo and Sebulba dominated the course, achieving the best three-lap race times and topping the knockout chart. Gasgano, however, held the best single-lap time, while Beedo secured the third-best time at 01:17.19 minutes. Beedo also dominated the knockout chart for the Mon Calamari race course, the Ballast Complex, with four knockouts in a single race. The final race of the Podracing Open took place on Gamorr, where Beedo achieved the third-best three-lap speed record.
Beedo's success on Gamorr continued on The Citadel race course, where he ranked second only to "Scorch" Zanales, whom he had raced against on Euceron, for the best three-lap record. The Glymphid also secured the second spot on the knockout chart with two knockouts. Returning to Ryloth, Aldar Beedo had the rare opportunity to appear twice on the same record chart. On the Nightlands race course, Beedo held both the second and third positions on the knockout chart, with scores of two and one knockouts, respectively. Throughout the 24 BBY season, Beedo was the only racer known to achieve this double standing. However, Beedo's career was not without setbacks. On at least two occasions, his pod was destroyed during a race. While racing on a course through a sprawling city, Beedo attempted to eliminate Wan Sandage Jr., but instead collided with Kraid Nemmeso, while Sandage escaped unharmed. During a race on Tatooine, Beedo tried to attack Skywalker, but the Jedi pushed Beedo into a large boulder blocking the course. Sebulba had a similar encounter with Skywalker on Sullust. While racing through a tight hallway filled with piping, Skywalker slammed Sebulba into a wall, causing the Dug to lose control and crash. Although Beedo and Sebulba failed to kill Skywalker, the "Hit Man" managed to sabotage Pagalies' starboard pod, causing the Veknoid to crash, resulting in the loss of Pagalies' arm.

Aldar Beedo remained active on the course by 22 BBY, when racing events were held on Coruscant, the Galactic Republic's capital, among other locations. Elan Mak continued his relentless pursuit, but his encounter with the bounty hunter Rango Tel years earlier had left the Fluggrian fearful. Mak realized he might never personally kill Beedo, either on or off the track. Temporarily abandoning the pseudonym he had used since 32 BBY, Kam Nale returned home to rebuild his father's criminal empire. With newfound funds, Nale hired a group of bounty hunters and mercenaries to capture Beedo alive.
One mercenary quickly tracked the Glymphid to the jungle world of Baroonda, where the Fire Mountain Rally was underway. The "Hit Man" was participating in the event. Taking aim, the mercenary shot Beedo down on the track, capturing the event on camera. The mercenary apprehended Aldar Beedo and delivered him to Nale, where Beedo was finally set to face retribution. However, Beedo's public capture was bound to cause a stir. Nale had continued to race, and his identity as "Elan Mak" was exposed, revealing him as a crime lord to the public. The capture of Aldar Beedo and the exposure of "Mak" as Nale raised serious questions about the future of Podracing.
Despite the capture and the HoloNet news reports, both Mak and Beedo returned to Podracing later that year. Sebulba and Beedo were now publicly recognized as a racing team, with Beedo serving as the pilot following Sebulba's retirement. Sebulba, dissatisfied with the Nosaurian pilot Clegg Holdfast, wanted the Podracing Quarterly reporter eliminated for good, as Holdfast had been supporting the rising Team Watto. Beedo was again the right choice for the job, and during a race on Coruscant, Beedo caught up to Holdfast and repeatedly attacked him. Holdfast defended himself for much of the race but was ultimately defeated near the end, resulting in a fatal crash.

Aldar Beedo was a callous and cruel individual, considered one of the most aggressive Podracers in the sport. The Glymphid readily accepted assassination contracts, only refusing those he deemed too risky unless offered a higher payment. Once committed to a job, Beedo was persistent, earning him a reputation for a hunter's honor. However, after numerous failed attempts on Sebulba while working for Wan Sandage, Beedo abandoned the contract after Sandage's death. Beedo was not easily intimidated, and despite his initial reluctance to target Sebulba, he accepted the job and risked his Podracing career by employing illegal tactics to defeat Sebulba on the track. The "Hit Man" also used his vehicle as a weapon without hesitation. He was unafraid of Jedi, as demonstrated during his confrontation with Anakin Skywalker on Euceron. Beedo believed that death leveled all, negating past achievements. He only left Skywalker alone when the conflict between the Jedi and Sebulba intensified, recognizing that he should not interfere.
As a Glymphid, Aldar Beedo's slender frame provided him with an advantage in racing. His small size and weight allowed his Podracer to reach maximum speeds. Beedo possessed exceptional reflexes, essential for piloting a Podracer. A lean figure, Beedo had thin fingers ending in suction cups, which did not hinder his ability to use weapons. His scaly skin featured various colors, primarily yellowish-beige with a blue head and gray patches on his abdomen. Aldar Beedo had striking orange reptilian eyes. Glymphids were short, and Beedo stood at only 1.3 meters tall, weighing 32 kilograms.
Aldar Beedo was a talented pilot with rapid reflexes and a sharp intellect that helped him navigate the track. Despite victories on Ando Prime and Gamorr, he was often regarded as a second-tier racer, likely because Podracing was secondary to his primary profession as a reliable assassin. Beedo's successful track record led to his hiring by smuggler Orin Nyell, enabling him to successfully track down and kill a Fluggrian crime lord. However, he never succeeded in eliminating his most sought-after target, Sebulba. Although skilled with a blaster, he struggled to time his shots accurately while racing, failing to account for the speed difference between Sebulba's racer and the laser blasts. Beedo was more effective at using his Podracer for takedowns. Throughout the 24 BBY racing season, Aldar Beedo hit numerous targets with his racer, topping several knockout charts across the Outer Rim circuits. He even managed to damage Clegg Holdfast's Podracer so severely that the Nosaurian died in the crash. However, Beedo's assassination and racing skills were insufficient to prevent his capture by the mercenary on Baroonda.

Aldar Beedo used a variety of weapons during races and maintained at least two different Podracers throughout his career. Although weapons were prohibited on the track, Aldar Beedo managed to smuggle a blaster pistol into the Vinta Harvest Classic, attempting to use it against Sebulba. Beedo's silver pistol had a large, round receiver and a narrow barrel, firing green lasers powerful enough to cut through magnetic cables.
Aldar Beedo's primary Podracer was a Manta RamAir MARK IV-Flat Turbojet, a wide Podracer with two massive blue engines featuring yellow markings, which also appeared on his personal flag. The RamAir was known for its above-average overall performance, except for its acceleration. Its best attribute was its handling, making it suitable for the galaxy's more winding courses. With upgraded accelerators, the vehicle could become a powerhouse. However, its major drawback was its width, making it less ideal for narrow courses with tight roads that led to close-knit packs. For these courses, Aldar Beedo had a backup Podracer that shared the previous one's cockpit and featured MARK IV engines half the size of the originals. Instead of two jets for propulsion, these engines had only one each. This smaller vehicle allowed Beedo to perform better on narrow tracks, such as those on Malastare. He used both vehicles during 32 BBY but later relied solely on his original RamAir as his Podracer of choice for the 24 BBY season.
Aldar Beedo wore minimal gear, often nothing at all. Around 32 BBY, he was seen wearing shorts and a brown racing cap with a black and white checker pattern down the center. He sometimes wore a brown shirt and a bandolier.

Aldar Beedo made his debut in the 1999 novel Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace by Terry Brooks, based on the film of the same name directed by George Lucas and released later that year. Detailed concept art was created for Beedo, primarily by Terryl Whitlatch. The Lucasfilm art department also built a detailed maquette. In the film, the character was represented by a low-resolution digital model for medium and long shots of his Podracer. A graphic based on the maquette was created for view-screens in the film, though it was only briefly visible.
Notably, Aldar Beedo was initially intended to be the first podracer to crash in the race due to Sebulba, but he was later replaced by Mawhonic during the storyboard phase. This early version of Aldar Beedo featured a shorter snout and spikes around his face, snout, and neck.
Aldar Beedo played a more significant role in the 1999 video game Star Wars Episode I: Racer, released on the same day as the film. His backstory was expanded in the game's companion guides published by Prima and Nintendo Power. Although he didn't appear, Beedo was mentioned in the Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace video game, and his parked racer could be found by players. Aldar Beedo later appeared in Racer's sequel, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, and the 2012 Xbox 360 video game Kinect Star Wars, where he was a major character in the game's ambiguously canon Podracing mode. In Revenge and Racer, Beedo was voiced by Nick Jameson, who also voiced Knire Dark in Revenge. Beedo was briefly mentioned in the novel Tatooine Ghost.
The conflict between Beedo and Kam Nale was explored in several Star Wars Legends publications but was not resolved until 2013 with the release of the Star Wars Blog article The Not-So Magnificent Seven, which detailed the lives of several unsuccessful bounty hunters. Both Beedo and Nale were mentioned in Rango Tel's entry. While Aldar Beedo has never been produced as an action figure, he has appeared twice as a LEGO mini-figure. The first was a custom design using parts from other minifigures, bearing a limited resemblance to Beedo. The second was a single-mold figure without moving parts, based on Beedo's maquette.
