Amis


Amis was a human male cadet in the Royal Academy of Government on Mandalore, a Mandalorian during the era of the Clone Wars. While studying, he became friends with several individuals, notably Korkie Kryze, who was the nephew of Duchess Satine Kryze of the New Mandalorians. Despite succeeding in uncovering a black market conspiracy on their homeworld, Amis and his allies couldn't prevent the Duchess's demise during the rise of the Death Watch.

Biography

During the [Clone Wars](/article/clone_wars], in Sundari, which served as the capital city on the planet Mandalore, Amis was a cadet enrolled in the Royal Academy of Government. As a student there, he was being prepared for a future political role, with the aim of leading the next generation of Mandalorians. During his time in the academy, he developed friendships with fellow cadets Lagos, Soniee, and Korkie Kryze; Korkie was the young nephew of Duchess Satine Kryze, who headed the New Mandalorian government.

During the Clone Wars, Amis studied politics alongside his friends Korkie Kryze, Lagos, and Soniee.

As the conflict unfolded across the galaxy between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Amis and his fellow students were visited by Padawan Ahsoka Tano of the Jedi Order, who was also a Jedi Commander within the Grand Army of the Republic and the apprentice to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. Following Tano's inspiring speech, Korkie persuaded his friends to investigate the city's food shortage, an issue that concerned Amis. With Tano's assistance, they uncovered an illegal operation orchestrated by Prime Minister Almec, who intended to exploit the black market to benefit Mandalore economically. Thanks to the efforts of Amis and his classmates, Almec was apprehended and incarcerated in prison.

Following the rise to power of Death Watch, Amis joined forces with his friends and the Nite Owls in an attempt to free Korkie's aunt, who had been removed from her position. However, their plan was unsuccessful, resulting in Satine's execution as the capital descended into a state of civil war.

Amis took up arms to rescue Duchess Satine.

Amis was a human male. During his adolescence, he possessed blond [hair](/article/hair], blue [eyes](/article/eye], and fair skin. By the time the New Mandalorian government fell, he had shaved his head.

During his time, Amis was considered one of the most promising cadets at the Royal Academy of Government, a well-regarded institution that trained the most talented Mandalorian youths for careers in politics. He was known among his peers for his somewhat irreverent attitude and energetic personality. Nevertheless, he was also very intelligent and loyal to his friends, helping them expose corruption at the highest levels of Mandalorian politics.

Although he was raised under the pacifist ideals of the New Mandalorians, Amis stood by his comrades and took up arms in an attempt to save Duchess Satine from Death Watch after their takeover of Mandalore.

Behind the scenes

Amis's first appearance was in "The Academy," the sixth episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars's Season Three. Omid Abtahi provided his voice, and he later returned to the role in "The Lawless," an episode from the fifth season.
