Colonel Jendon of the Galactic Empire's Imperial Navy served as co-pilot alongside Captain Yorr aboard ST 321, the personal shuttle of Sith Lord Darth Vader. In 4 ABY, they transported Vader from the Star Destroyer Avenger to the Death Star II superweapon while situated in the Endor system. Later, during the Battle of Endor, Jendon piloted a TIE/d "Defender" Multi-Role Starfighter in opposition to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, but the Empire suffered defeat, and the Death Star was destroyed.

Jendon, a human in service to the Galactic Empire, achieved the rank of colonel within the Imperial Navy's officer corps. He functioned as the co-pilot of ST 321, the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle used by the Sith Lord Darth Vader. In 4 ABY, Jendon, along with Captain Yorr, was at the controls of the shuttle as it launched from the hangar of the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Avenger. This occurred while the Star Destroyer was positioned in the Endor system, near the construction of the incomplete Death Star II superweapon in orbit around the moon Endor.
Accompanied by a pair of TIE/ln space superiority starfighters that also departed the hangar, Jendon and Yorr piloted ST 321 towards the Death Star with the purpose of transporting Vader to the battle station. During the flight, Yorr used comms to notify the Death Star of their approach, requesting flight controller Jad Bean to deactivate the battle station's shields. After Bean verified the shuttle's transmission codes, he temporarily lowered a section of the shields and granted them clearance to land. This allowed Yorr and Jendon to guide the shuttle into one of the Death Star's hangars, while their TIE escort broke away. Once aboard the Death Star, Vader disembarked the shuttle and conferred with Moff Tiaan Jerjerrod in the hangar regarding the station's construction progress.

Soon after, Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine joined Vader on the Death Star and initiated a scheme to entice the fleet of the Alliance to Restore the Republic to attack the Death Star. His intention was to use the station's fully operational superlaser to destroy them, thereby concluding the Galactic Civil War. The Alliance, baited by Palpatine's presence and the station's apparent incompleteness, fell into the trap and launched an assault. Upon the fleet's arrival in the Endor system, the rebels found themselves surrounded by Imperial forces and engaged in battle. Jendon was among the pilots who fought against them, piloting a TIE/d "Defender" Multi-Role Starfighter as a member of the Starfighter Corps in the vicinity of the Death Star.
Palpatine instructed the Imperial capital ships to hold their fire, ordering only the Empire's starfighters to engage the rebel fleet. His plan was to use the Death Star's superlaser to eliminate key Alliance vessels, sending a clear message. However, rebel forces on the moon successfully deactivated the Death Star's shield generator, enabling the rebel fleet to destroy the Death Star and overcome the remaining Imperial forces.
While piloting ST 321, Jendon wore a black Imperial officer's uniform, including an Imperial kepi adorned with an officer's disk. During the Battle of Endor, the colonel flew a more advanced version of the TIE/d "Defender" equipped with proton cannons. This starfighter also featured computer-assisted controls and incorporated classified Chiss technology.

Jendon made an appearance in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi, a film from the original trilogy that premiered on March 25, 1983. Mike Havord portrayed the character without credit, and he also played the role of Admiral Chiraneau in the same film. According to actor Kenneth Coombs, Havord had previously portrayed an Imperial officer in the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, although this character's identity as Jendon, Chiraneau, or another individual remains uncertain.
The scenes within the shuttle cockpit were filmed on Stage 6 at Elstree Studios between March 24 and March 31, 1982. Actor Jasper Jacob, who played Yorr, stated that their scene required two days of filming, with director Richard Marquand overseeing both days.
Within the current Star Wars canon, Jendon's name was first officially used in a preview for the Battle Over Endor Scenario Pack designed for Atomic Mass Games' Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition board game, which was posted on February 5, 2024. In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the character Jendon was initially identified in 2000 on cards featured in the "Death Star II Limited" set for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game published by Decipher.
