Ta'klah

Ta'klah was a planet-like celestial body. In the year 232 BBY, when it faced a threat from an Emergence following the Great Hyperspace Disaster, Jedi Master Stellan Gios, along with other members of the Jedi Order, journeyed to Ta'klah to offer assistance to the locals. Following this event, the inhabitants of Ta'klah were relocated to other locations, with some finding a new home on the planet Banchii, where they received aid from Jedi Master Arkoff and Jedi Knight Lily Tora-Asi.

Description

Ta'klah was a planet-like celestial body characterized by mountainous landscapes. It featured trees and possessed a Type I atmosphere suitable for human respiration.

History

Debris from an Emergence falls on Ta'klah.

Following the Great Hyperspace Disaster that occurred in 232 BBY, an [Emergence](/article/emergences], one of several incidents involving debris fallout, manifested over Ta'klah, instilling panic among the residents of a local settlement. A group of Jedi, including Jedi Master Stellan Gios, promptly arrived in Jedi Vectors to provide assistance to the people of Ta'klah. After leaping from his Vector, Gios aided a child who had stumbled and used the Force to shield them from the falling debris. He then informed the people of Ta'klah about the disaster and instructed them to seek refuge. When a resident expressed gratitude to Gios, he reassured them of the Jedi's support and reiterated the need to find shelter indoors. As a consequence of the catastrophe, the settlement was engulfed in flames and ultimately destroyed.

Stellan Gios saved a child from an Emergence.

In the aftermath of the disaster, some of the inhabitants were subsequently relocated to the planet Banchii, situated in the Outer Rim. The final group of settlers, including the farmer Kooba, were transported to Banchii by the Wookiee Jedi Master Arkoff and Jedi Knight Lily Tora-Asi. Zaret, a spy working for the Nihil, was also among the group. Upon the landing of their starship, they were greeted by the other Jedi present on Banchii, including Keerin Fionn, Tora-Asi's Padawan, who inquired about the settlers. Tora-Asi confirmed that they were the last of the settlers from Ta'klah, noting their positive spirits and eagerness to settle in. She then instructed Fionn to guide the refugees around the settlement on Banchii. Later, Banchii was attacked by the Drengir, sentient carnivorous plants. Following this assault, Tora-Asi raised the possibility that the Drengir's seeds might have been introduced to Banchii during one of the numerous resettlement trips from Ta'klah, suggesting that someone might have manipulated Kooba by secretly providing him with Drengir seeds for planting on Banchii.

No earlier than 35 ABY, the protocol droid C-3PO authored a book focused on Wookiees. Within this book, C-3P0 mentioned Arkoff's role in welcoming the refugees from Ta'klah to Banchii.

Inhabitants

Before the Great Hyperspace Disaster, the population of Ta'klah consisted of humans, including Kooba.

Locations

Prior to the Great Hyperspace Disaster, Ta'klah featured at least one settlement. This settlement contained multiple buildings with a circular design.
