The Batuu planet's Black Spire Outpost contained a market which housed a booth called The Wooden Wookiee. Lunacca, a male Wookiee, was the owner, and he sold carvings crafted from wroshyr wood. Salju, in their youth, and their pet therii, Elee, were once gifted an item from Lunacca when they visited The Wooden Wookiee. When the First Order occupied Black Spire Outpost during 34 ABY, Lunacca had shuttered The Wooden Wookiee to journey to the planet Kashyyyk and acquire more wroshyr wood.

Located within the market of Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim Territories planet Batuu was The Wooden Wookiee, a merchant's booth. This outdoor shop was managed by Lunacca, a male Wookiee and a fourth-generation woodcarver. He retailed a variety of wroshyr wood carvings. These included goblets used for specialty beverages at Oga's Cantina, in addition to sculptures, wooden creatures, small trinkets, Wookiee shields, and other unique art pieces. These items were popular with galactic tourists and other merchants in Black Spire Outpost.
The wroshyr tree sap made the Wookiee shields almost indestructible. Due to the high demand for his works, Lunacca frequently traveled to the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk for more timber. During these trips, The Wooden Wookiee was closed, which disappointed his customers. Lunacca worked alone and did not employ locals to assist with customer service during his absences. Most Batuu residents lacked the strength to carve wroshyr, making every item at The Wooden Wookiee a unique creation of Lunacca. However, he did employ a crew headed by Schelhorn for wood shipments.
The booth incorporated the body of an R-series droid in its corner as a furnace. It was situated in a market corner, across from the Creature Stall and beside the outpost's historical obelisk. Desks and tables formed its perimeter, and the booth's back featured shelving for tools and products.

Lunacca once beckoned Salju, the local mechanic, and their pet therii, Elee, to The Wooden Wookiee while they were exploring the market during their youth. He gifted them a wooden Elee figure he had crafted. During the First Order's occupation of Black Spire Outpost in 34 ABY, Dok-Ondar, an Ithorian collector, owned a wroshyr wood table in his antiquities shop. His employee, Julen Rakab, recognized the table's carvings as originating from The Wooden Wookiee. Around the same time, The Wooden Wookiee was temporarily closed while Lunacca traveled to Kashyyyk to replenish his wroshyr wood supply.
Before his departure, Lunacca had partially carved several items, including sculptures of porgs, an Ithorian bust, a Wookiee bust, a loth-cat, the Jedi Order symbol, and a large avian creature, among others. These unfinished items were displayed in the booth during his absence. The Traveler's Guide to Batuu, penned by author and explorer Eloc Throno, also featured the store during the First Order occupation that same year. Additionally, C-3PO, a protocol droid, included the stall in The Secrets of the Wookiees, a compilation of Wookiee history and culture. C-3PO assembled this collection during or after 35 ABY based on stories from his Wookiee friend Chewbacca.
The location The Wooden Wookiee first appeared within the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, opening to visitors at both Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios during 2019. Although the location is a merchant's booth in-universe, all of the items at the real-world location are merely props and are not available for purchase.
