A regiment belonging to the Grand Army of the Republic saw action during the initial stages of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Separatist Alliance. Within this infantry regiment were Advanced Recon Force Scout Troopers, with a commander and a lieutenant standing out as the regiment's most skilled scouts.
In the year 22 BBY, not long before the Battle of Teth, these two troopers were sent on a mission in a Nu-class attack/transport shuttle to investigate the abduction of Rotta, the Hutt son of the notorious crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. After following a group of bounty hunters employed by Jabba to a monastery located on the planet Teth, and discovering a significant battle droid presence, the troopers relayed their intelligence to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker to assist in his planned rescue of Rotta.
An infantry regiment within the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic included scouting capabilities. This regiment was composed of clone troopers, with at least two being Advanced Recon Force Scout Troopers distinguished by their Phase I ARF armor featuring a green forest camouflage pattern. Furthermore, the regiment utilized at least one Nu-class attack/transport shuttle for their scouting missions. As a unit within the Grand Army of the Republic, the regiment was organized into sixteen companies, each further divided into four platoons. Each platoon consisted of four squads, resulting in a total strength of 2,304 troopers.

This particular regiment was active during the early stages of the Clone Wars, a conflict pitting the Galactic Republic against the Separatist Alliance, occurring shortly before the Battle of Teth in the year 22 BBY. Following the abduction of Rotta, the son of the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure, supposedly by a rival group of pirates secretly working for the Separatists, Jabba reached out to the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order for assistance.
Responding to Jabba's plea, two scouts, considered the best within the regiment – an ARF Clone Commander and an ARF Clone Lieutenant – were tasked with gathering more information. During their investigation, the two Advanced Recon Force troopers discovered that Jabba had also employed a group of bounty hunters to locate his son. The scouts then tracked these bounty hunters to a B'omarr Order Monastery on the planet Teth, utilizing their Nu-class attack/transport shuttle.
While the lieutenant observed the monastery, the regiment's commander instructed him to contact Jedi General Mace Windu to report their findings. The commander contacted both Windu and Grand Master Yoda at the Jedi Temple communication center via hologram, informing the Jedi about Jabba's bounty hunters and their presence at the monastery on Teth. Although the trooper believed this was where Rotta was being held, he explained that the location was too heavily defended for them to take action alone. Consequently, Windu instructed the commander to remain hidden and await further instructions.

When General Anakin Skywalker of the Jedi Order and the 501st Legion arrived in the Teth system with the mission to rescue Rotta, the regiment's ARF troopers piloted their transport to Skywalker's Acclamator-class transgalactic military assault ship. Upon landing in a hangar, Skywalker immediately questioned the soldiers to determine if they had been spotted by the kidnappers, to which the lieutenant responded negatively. The general then inquired about Jabba's bounty hunters, whom the lieutenant believed were no longer at the monastery, as they hadn't been seen for some time.
The lieutenant further reported the presence of at least two droid battalions guarding the monastery, which was heavily fortified to prevent direct landings. Pleased with the troopers' efforts, General Skywalker instructed them to rest. Following the briefing, the 501st's Torrent Company and two All Terrain Tactical Enforcers were deployed in several Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry gunships and Low Altitude Assault Transport carrier to the monastery, where they successfully rescued Rotta.
The regiment made its debut, although unnamed, in the 2008 animated theatrical release Star Wars: The Clone Wars, directed by Dave Filoni.
