Ire Falk held the military rank of general while serving in the Galactic Empire's armed forces. During 10 BBY, Falk was the commanding officer of the 224th Imperial Armored Division throughout the extended Mimban Campaign. After the Battle of Yavin, Falk became a member of the Joint Chiefs of the Imperial Military to fill the voids left by the conflict. Leading the Imperial Army forces stationed on the moon of Endor, Falk also attended a meeting involving high-ranking Imperial officers preceding the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY. Beaumont Kin, a historian, referenced Falk multiple times in his publication The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was published in 35 ABY.

As a general in 10 BBY, Ire Falk participated in the Mimban Campaign, an Imperial effort to pacify the planet of Mimban situated within the Expansion Region. At this time, the 224th Imperial Armored Division engaged the Mimbanese Liberation Army in combat, operating from Camp Forward under Falk's command. During the campaign, Falk directed Imperial forces and maintained communication with Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, despite Moff Bin Essada overseeing the operation from his offices located on Gyndine, an administrative planet within the Circarpous sector of the Expansion Region.
Following the death of Major Staz, Lieutenant Alayus Bolandin informed members of the division at Camp Forward of their impending deployment to the Southern Marshlands in three hours, requesting an advance team of ten soldiers. Shortly before the unit's departure, Falk granted Bolandin a field promotion to the rank of captain.

By 4 ABY, during the Battle of Endor, Falk had become a member of the Joint Chiefs of the Imperial Military, working alongside figures such as Fleet Admiral Firmus Piett, Vice Admiral Rae Sloane, Vice Admiral Corf Ferno, and General Maximilian Veers, among others. The joint chiefs, lacking central leadership, fractured into groups with differing ideologies and doctrines.
Falk was in command of the Imperial Army forces deployed on the surface of Endor, while Major Hewex commanded the naval trooper detachment. Falk attended a meeting with other high ranking Imperial officers on Endor, where he and Hewex received a concise briefing from Piett regarding the anticipated ground engagement preceding the Battle of Endor. Post-battle communication records suggest a short briefing was sent from orbit to the surface. Ultimately, Imperial ground troops suffered defeat at the hands of a Rebel Alliance strike team and their Ewok allies, leading to the destruction of a shield generator and the Death Star II battle station it was protecting.

Beaumont Kin, a historian and a member of the Resistance, mentioned Falk on multiple occasions in his book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, published in 35 ABY. The book cited a file of communications between Falk and Tarkin found within the Imperial Archives, as well as a file of intercepted Imperial communications stored in the Rebel Alliance Archives pertaining to the Endor campaign. Falk's name appeared in a reconstructed list of Joint Chiefs members discovered in the Imperial Archives and referenced by Kin.
Kin also posited that Falk was instructed to prolong the Battle of Mimban, enabling the Empire to submit inflated military requisition requests to the Imperial Senate and significantly expand its military capabilities.
The reference book Star Wars: Battles that Changed the Galaxy, released in 2021, initially mentioned Falk. His first name was later revealed in Chris Kempshall's 2024 publication, Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.
