Liberty's Misrule
The vessel initially designated Annihilator, and subsequently christened Liberty's Misrule, was an Executor-class Star Dreadnought that functioned as the flagship for Grand General Cassio Tagge in the period following the Battle of Yavin. Later, the pirate known as Eleodie Maracavanya seized control of it. Expressing a strong dislike for its original designation, Annihilator, Maracavanya rechristened the vessel as Liberty's Misrule. This ship then became the central hub of Maracavanya's burgeoning nation.
History
Imperial era
The year 0 ABY saw the Annihilator serving under the command of Grand General Cassio Tagge. Following his demotion by the Galactic Emperor Sheev Palpatine due to his perceived failures during the Battle of Yavin, Darth Vader was assigned to collaborate with Tagge in suppressing pirate attacks. Vader successfully neutralized a CR90 corvette associated with the pirates and brought the captured vessel aboard the Annihilator. Tagge had plans to transfer his command to the almost-finished Super Star Destroyer, the Executor. However, after the Cylo Hijacking, Tagge was further demoted and Vader was elevated to supreme commander of the Imperial fleet. This promotion reflected the Emperor's renewed confidence in his Sith apprentice. Consequently, the Executor became Vader's flagship, and Vader's first act in his new role was to execute Tagge.
Captured by Eleodie Maracavanya
By 5 ABY, the Annhiliator had fallen into the hands of the pirate Eleodie Maracavanya, who had ambitions of establishing a pirate kingdom. Maracavanya utilized the Super Star Destroyer's tractor beam to pull a ship from the Rang Clan into its docking bay, as zhe desired it for zher growing fleet. However, due to a lapse in protocol where a crew member failed to properly seal the breaching airlock, complications arose, and the clan nearly succeeded in destroying them.
Subsequently, the Annihilator once again employed its tractor beam to capture another ship, this time a CR90 corvette belonging to senatorial ambassador Tia'dor Emshwa. Maracavanya informed the ship's crew that their vessel was being commandeered, but they were free to depart via the escape pods unless they chose to join zher ranks. Only a young girl named Kartessa and her mother opted to join Maracavanya's crew.
The Annihilator evolved into the heart of Maracavanya's nation, known as the Sovereign Latitudes of Maracavanya. Zhe consistently brought aboard older starfighters to the Annihilator for retrofitting and integration into zher fleet. Eventually, zhe officially renamed the Star Destroyer to Liberty's Misrule. Thousands of individuals resided on the Star Destroyer, living in tents, repurposed shipping pods, and makeshift crate structures within the hangar bays that were once intended for starships. One of these settlements was known as Hangartown. The inhabitants established markets and prepared food using improvised thermal vents fashioned from the underfloor ducts.
During the Battle of Jakku, three Imperial II-class Star Destroyers retreated from the conflict and jumped to the location of the Liberty's Misrule, mistakenly believing it to be an Imperial remnant. They attempted to establish communication with the Super Star Destroyer, but Maracavanya instead ordered zher fleet to attack the Imperials. The Imperial Star Destroyers were obliterated, and their wreckage was subsequently delivered to the New Republic.
