Dy'lothe

Dy'lothe, an admiral within the Chiss Ascendancy's Defense Force, was a Chiss officer who commanded the Venturous, a Groundlion man-of-war. Circa 18 BBY, amidst a crisis affecting the Ascendancy, the Whetstone, a Kilji war cruiser, journeyed to the planets Avidich and Rhigar. The Venturous was dispatched to those same worlds to safeguard the Ascendancy's populace from the alien warship.

Following the arrival of the Aelos, a Nikardun blockade frigate under the command of Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, over Sposia, the Venturous engaged the blockade frigate. Dy'lothe, acting under the orders of the Chiss Syndicure, attempted to apprehend the senior captain. However, the Aelos managed to escape, after partially disabling the admiral's warship with a conner net. Soon after, Dy'lothe surveyed the devastation resulting from the destruction of a fleet of Grysk warships above Sunrise.

Biography

After the Kiljis

Admiral Dy'lothe was sent to protect the planet Rhigar (pictured) from the Kilji Illumine.

Around 18 BBY, Dy'lothe, a male Chiss, held the rank of admiral in the Chiss Defense Force of the Chiss Ascendancy. He was commanding the Venturous, a Groundlion man-of-war. When the Kilji war cruiser Whetstone, belonging to the Kilji Illumine, arrived at the Ascendancy's planet Avidich, the Venturous was dispatched to defend the planet from the alien warship. However, the war cruiser had already departed by the time the Groundlion arrived. Shortly thereafter, the Whetstone proceeded to Rhigar, where Captain Clarr'os'culry, core name "Roscu," met with its commanders, Generalirius Nakirre and the Grysk agent "Jixtus," to ensure the vessel's departure before Dy'lothe's flagship arrived in three hours.

Later, during a crisis within the Ascendancy, the Venturous received orders to go to the Chiss world of Sposia, the location of the Universal Analysis Group (UAG). This group was responsible for safeguarding and analyzing alien artifacts, including a Vagaari gravity well projector. Prior to Dy'lothe's arrival, Supreme Admiral Ja'fosk sent Admiral Ar'alani and her Nightdragon man-of-war Vigilant to Sposia, wishing to maintain security over the UAG. Soon after the Vigilant's arrival, Dy'lothe reported the presence of the Aelos, a Nikardun blockade frigate crewed by members of the Paccosh species and the Chiss Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo (Thrawn). Tasked by the Chiss Syndicure to detain the senior captain after contacting the Chiss capital planet Csilla, the admiral ordered the Aelos to surrender.

Enforcing the Syndicure's wishes

Admiral Aralani (pictured) confronted Admiral Dy'lothe at Sposia.

Ar'alani, however, wanted to speak with the senior captain and fired upon the Venturous to gain Dy'lothe's attention. The admiral, whom Ar'alani suspected was reluctant to follow his orders, informed the Vigilant's commander about the Syndicure's directive and engaged in a discussion regarding Thrawn's reasons for being on Sposia, which Dy'lothe claimed to be indifferent to. Meanwhile, the Aelos maneuvered, deploying a crippler net—a weapon that disables electronic equipment—toward the Venturous's bow spectrum laser and tractor beam emplacements. As the blockade frigate escaped, Ar'alani's first officer, Senior Captain Kiwu'tro'owmis (Wutroow), remarked that Dy'lothe would not fire a plasma sphere or breacher missile at the Aelos, despite the action being futile, a sentiment echoed by her commander. Ar'alani then contacted the other admiral, who informed her that he was departing for the UAG to deposit debris from an asteroid missile platform that had exploded in the Ornfra system some time prior.

Days after the Sposia incident, Dy'lothe arrived to witness the aftermath of Senior Captain Thrawn's last stand above Sunrise, where Thrawn's fleet of Chiss ships had annihilated Jixtus's. The admiral questioned Ar'alani, who had participated in the battle, about what he had missed. Subsequently, Dy'lothe, along with Ja'fosk, Admiral Ers'ikaro, and two other Defense Force admirals, were present at a tribunal where Thrawn was exiled for destroying Jixtus's fleet. Dy'lothe personally removed the honor chains from Thrawn's chest.
