Biography

Baraan-Fa, Karie Neth's homeworld

Around 18 BBY, Karie Neth, a human female, was born on the planet Baraan-Fa. She formed a close friendship with Lanna, a girl of the same age. In 1 ABY, at the age of nineteen, both Neth and Lanna enlisted in the Rebel Alliance. Neth became a pilot within the Starfighter Corps of the Alliance to Restore the Republic's navy throughout the Alliance's war against the Galactic Empire. In 4 ABY, Alliance forces began to assemble above the planet Sullust as they prepared to attack the Empire's Death Star II superweapon, which was under construction while positioned in orbit around the moon of Endor. While above Sullust, Neth was present at a briefing held in a conference room aboard Home One, the MC80A Heavy Star Cruiser flagship of the Alliance, where the battle plan was discussed.

Before the briefing commenced, Neth stood near the tiered seating's base in the room, accompanied by several other starfighter pilots, before taking a seat at the edge of a bench. Ten Numb, a Sullustan B-wing pilot, then approached her, and they engaged in conversation until a chime signaled the briefing's start. Several members of the Alliance High Command then delivered speeches while holograms were projected in the room's center, beginning with Mon Mothma, the Alliance's leader. Mothma provided information about the Death Star, followed by Admiral Gial Ackbar, who detailed its defenses and the fleet's attack strategy. Lastly, General Crix Madine discussed the strike team being deployed to Endor itself.

Following the briefing, the plan was executed, and the rebels journeyed to the Endor system. There, the strike team forged an alliance with the Ewoks of Endor, which enabled them to destroy a shield generator bunker that protected the Death Star from the surface. Subsequently, the Alliance fleet successfully destroyed the Death Star itself after engaging the Imperial Navy in battle. The rebels and their new Ewok allies celebrated their shared victory in Bright Tree Village on Endor, with Neth among the attendees. During the celebration, she danced alongside the Ewok Lumat next to a set of drums crafted from trophy Imperial helmets being played by the Ewok Brethupp.
