Mission to Daluuj

In the year 138 ABY, amidst the chaos of the Second Imperial Civil War, the pirate starship Mynock's crew embarked on a quest to the world of Daluuj. Their objective: to locate and eliminate the Sith scientific expert Vul Isen. Cade Skywalker, once a Jedi and now the commander of the Mynock, had recently committed himself to a personal war against the Sith. Isen became his primary target after the scientist unleashed poison into the seas of Dac. Acting upon acquired data, the crew journeyed to Isen's research facility located on Daluuj.

Upon their arrival and planetary landing, Deliah Blue, the Mynock's repair technician; Jariah Syn, the co-pilot; and R2-D2, the droid responsible for astrogation, assaulted the research complex. They slaughtered a contingent of Imperial soldiers, yet their intended victim was nowhere to be found. While Syn set up detonation devices, Skywalker and Wolf Sazen, a Jedi of high rank, triumphed over a group of Sith using laser swords on a nearby connecting structure. Skywalker demanded that the last remaining adversary divulge the location of the "Butcher of Dac," but only learned that Isen was no longer present on Daluuj. Consequently, he abandoned his crippled foe to perish as the entire crew swiftly returned to their vessel and took off just before the laboratory exploded.

Prelude

Near the close of 137 ABY, during the Second Imperial Civil War, Cade Skywalker, the former Jedi Knight who had recently assumed the role of leader of the piratical spaceship Mynock, was tricked by Darth Maladi, a female Sith, into journeying to the planet of Wayland. Once there, Maladi abducted Deliah Blue, the Mynock's chief mechanic, and grafted Yuuzhan Vong biological growths onto her spinal region. Wolf Sazen, Skywalker's former instructor in the Jedi arts, was also present, having been guided by the Force to his former apprentice. After Skywalker assaulted Maladi mentally with the Force, causing her to flee, Sazen urged him to employ the Force's healing abilities to cure Blue's affliction using the light side rather than the dark transfer technique he typically relied upon. By healing Blue, Skywalker rejected the dark side and vowed to fight against the One Sith.

Simultaneously, Vul Isen, a Sith researcher working for Darth Krayt's Empire, desecrated the oceans of Dac. His disease caused the extinction of all aquatic life on the water planet, except for those rescued by the Galactic Alliance Remnant. Upon learning of this, Skywalker determined that eliminating Isen would be a significant blow to the Sith, and the "Butcher of Dac" became the first target of his campaign. With Sazen joining the crew, the Mynock crew purchased information from Naxy Screeger, a Sakiyan, indicating Isen's presence on Daluuj.

The mission

The crew of the Mynock flees from Vul Isen's laboratory after setting timed explosives inside.

At the start of 138 ABY, the Mynock made planetfall on Daluuj, landing near Isen's base of operations. Deliah Blue, along with Jariah Syn, Skywalker's co-pilot, and R2-D2, the astromech, stormed the facility. Though they didn't find Isen, they did encounter a group of Imperial soldiers, who were quickly defeated by their weapons. Following the battle, Blue guarded the area as R2-D2 hacked into the laboratory's data network, while Syn armed the explosives. Meanwhile, Skywalker and Sazen fought a group of Sith on a bridge adjacent to the laboratory, employing their lightsabers. As their enemies fell to their blades, Skywalker demanded that the Sith reveal Isen's current location.

Eventually, only a single Sith remained, and he exchanged insults with Skywalker as they engaged in combat. The former Jedi managed to cut off the Sith's lower extremities, leaving him helpless. Skywalker promised to spare his life if he revealed the location of Isen and his planet-destroying poisons. The Sith only revealed that Isen had previously used Daluuj as a base and had left no trace of his secrets behind. Syn then communicated with Skywalker, informing him that the explosives were set. Having gained no useful information, Skywalker left his protesting opponent to die as he and Sazen hurried back to their ship. The entire crew boarded the Mynock, which lifted off just before the base and bridge were destroyed in a massive explosion.

Aftermath

After departing Daluuj, the Mynock's crew found themselves without any leads in their pursuit of Isen. However, Jool, the Hutt ruler, contacted them and insisted they come to Nal Hutta immediately. They complied with their old friend's request, and upon arriving Skywalker met with Jool and Vedo Anjiliac Atirue, from whom he learned that Isen had also contaminated the Hutt satellite of Da Soocha. Additionally, Vedo's nephew Azzim had been killed in an Imperial bombardment from space on Napdu. In response, the Hutts devised a plan to lure Isen to Utapau, and they hired Skywalker to track the scientist there and execute him. The Mynock then traveled to Utapau, where Skywalker would have his final confrontation with Isen.
