Samana spiced loaf, a variety of bread, was a food item. During the time of the High Republic Era, residents consumed this bread on a colony located on the planet Sedri Minor in the Outer Rim. Back in 232 BBY, Neeso and Reeta, a Rodian couple, brought a bowl filled with samana spiced loaf to the Jedi flagship called Ataraxia, offering it as assistance to a group of Jedi who had traveled to the colony.
Upon their arrival at the Ataraxia, the pair witnessed children, specifically a pair of them from the colony, who had the same thought and offered freshly prepared bucco bread to Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis. The Jedi Knight inquired whether the Rodians had brought her more bread, and Neeso clarified what it was. Neeso then held the bowl while the couple conversed with Trennis and as they were escorted away from the Jedi by Speaker Kalo Sulman.
In the year 232 BBY, during the High Republic Era, samana spiced loaf was eaten by the inhabitants of a colony situated on the planet Sedri Minor within the Outer Rim. During that year, the Kotabi Jedi Knight Ceret made a trip to the colony when information came to light that a derelict Hutt ship had originated from Sedri Minor. While present on the planet, Ceret disappeared after being captured and infected by sentient carnivorous plants referred to as the Drengir, which caused Terec, their bond-twin, to scream out in agony due to the twin's shared mind and the infliction Terec also suffered.

Subsequently, Terec, Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis, and Jedi Master Avar Kriss journeyed to Sedri Minor aboard the Jedi flagship Ataraxia. Having been informed about Ceret's vanishing and Terec's affliction, two members of the colony on Sedri Minor—the Rodian couple Reeta and Neeso—brought a bowl containing samana spiced loaf to the Ataraxia in order to assist the Jedi, with Neeso holding the bowl. Upon their arrival, the Rodians observed that two other members of the colony—Bartol, a human boy, and a Gran child—had the same idea and had presented freshly baked bucco bread to the Jedi, which Trennis had accepted; Neeso took note of this. The Jedi Knight then inquired if the couple had brought more bread, at which point Neeso clarified that it was samana spiced loaf and that they wished to help.
Neeso continued to hold the bowl as Reeta inquired with Trennis about her Jedi friend, to which the Jedi Knight responded that she was certain the Force was with Ceret and Terec. The Rodians then informed Trennis that others had disappeared like her friend, including their son Julus. As the three continued their conversation, Kalo Sulman, the Artiodac speaker of the colony, arrived and attempted to dismiss the colonists' concerns regarding the disappearances. As Sulman led the colonists away from Trennis, asserting that the Jedi did not require their food or their "rumor-mongering," Neeso carried the bowl.
