Storyline Summary

A Shift in Trajectory

Kisma Uttersond, a Chadra-Fan physician, is overseeing Mari San Tekka, his patient who possesses hyperspace precognitive abilities. They are both located on the Nihil starship known as the Gaze Electric. San Tekka has been held captive by the Nihil for a number of years. San Tekka awakens Uttersond, alerting him to an impending wave of debris originating from the Great Hyperspace Disaster, which is projected to strike the Trymant system. This event poses a threat to multiple celestial bodies, including Korbatal, Ost Molkar, Taz Molkar, Trymant III, and Trymant IV. With the cataclysm rapidly approaching, Dr. Uttersond urgently seeks out Marchion Ro, the individual known as the Eye of the Nihil, to deliver the warning.

Later on, Uttersond provides Marchion Ro with details regarding San Tekka's prophetic vision. Zagyar, one of Ro's subordinates, expresses doubt concerning the validity of San Tekka's prediction. When Ro inquires about Trymant IV, Uttersond verifies that San Tekka did mention it, but also cautions that she is nearing death. Ro remains indifferent to the potential destruction caused by the Great Disaster's remnants, as he believes it will serve to divert the galaxy's attention. Ro then questions Zagyar whether Trymant IV is included on their itinerary. Zagyar replies that they were scheduled to visit the planet after their operations on Dalna and Jedha were completed.

Ro comes to the conclusion that they must arrive at Trymant IV before its annihilation, as it may hold the key to future events. He instructs Zagyar to notify the bridge and issue orders for a change in course. Zagyar attempts to establish communication with the bridge, but discovers that the communication lines are inoperable due to damaged wiring. He then commands three crew members, including the Gigoran Baheeoo, the Gamorrean Garank, and the Talpini Ordo, to hasten to the bridge. The trio voices their discontent, but Zagyar disregards their complaints and warns them that space on the Squall Spider is limited. He cautions that the losers will be ejected into the vacuum of space.

A Dash to the Command Center

The three Nihil begin a high-speed race through the Gaze Electric, making their way through the engine compartment. During their journey, Garank manages to briefly distract Baheeoo, giving him the opportunity to hurl Ordo at the Gigoran. Garank then sprints ahead towards the bridge. When Baheeoo asks what their next move is, Ordo suggests proceeding towards the Bogaranth enclosure, with the intention of hitching a ride on one of the creatures. The pair then seize control of a bogaranth and begin a rapid journey to the bridge. After their ride, Baheeoo and Ordo finally reach the bridge and convey the Eye of the Nihil's instructions to alter their course and proceed towards Trymant IV. The captain then directs his bridge crew to input the coordinates for Trymant IV. He then questions Baheeoo and Ordo as to why they did not simply relay the message via the comms. Baheeoo explains that the comms are offline, at which point another crew member chimes in, stating that Grik has just completed the repairs. He then proceeds to play a transmission from Marchion Ro.

The Eye delivers an inspiring speech, informing the crew of the Gaze Electric that they are embarking on a clandestine mission that will bestow upon them extraordinary abilities, enabling them to dismantle the Galactic Republic and their Jedi "dogs." He then orders them to set a course for Trymant IV, as the crew erupts in cheers.
