Telos Security Force

The Telos Security Force, often abbreviated as TSF, was responsible for Telos's planetary security. This was before the surface of the planet met its destruction during the events of the Jedi Civil War.

History

In the early days of the Dark Wars, the TSF, having relocated its headquarters to the newly constructed Citadel Station, was tasked with safeguarding the efforts of the Telosian Restoration Project on Telos IV. Their effectiveness, however, was frequently hampered by the infiltration of the Telosian Council—the governing body overseeing Citadel Station—by agents of the Czerka Corporation. Furthermore, the influence wielded by corrupt entities like Czerka and the Exchange over Citadel Station further undermined their operations.

In 3951 BBY, when the Jedi Exile arrived at Citadel Station aboard the Ebon Hawk, the TSF placed her, along with her companions Atton Rand and Kreia, under arrest. The reason for their arrest was their alleged involvement in the destruction of the Peragus Mining Facility. The TSF also failed to prevent Brianna, a Handmaiden of Atris, from stealing her ship and droid, T3-M4. Despite this unpromising start, the Exile assisted the TSF in locating a missing individual named Batono, uncovering the identity of a bounty hunter who had infiltrated the TSF's ranks, apprehending two criminals who had escaped from TSF headquarters, and dismantling a smuggling operation on the station led by Samhan Dobo.

Later, during the Battle of Telos IV, the TSF played a role in the defense of Citadel Station against [Darth Nihilus]. They fought alongside Canderous Ordo's Mandalorians, Onderon Royalist soldiers serving Queen Talia, Khoonda Militia soldiers hailing from Dantooine, as well as the Jedi Exile and her allies.

During the Exile's time there, notable members of the TSF included Lieutenant Dol Grenn, Lieutenant Yima, Officer Soka Linu, and Officer Batu Rem.

Millennia later, the TSF participated in the Telosian Civil War, aligning themselves with their government and the Telosian governor, Crion, and his son, Xanatos against the Telosian populace and the Jedi.

Behind the scenes

In Obsidian Entertainment's original conception of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, the TSF was intended to have a more substantial presence. Lieutenant Yima was supposed to provide the player character, also known as the Jedi Exile, with a mission to expose the corrupt activities of her TSF colleague, Lieutenant Atallo, who was covering up Czerka's illegal weapons trade on Citadel Station. This quest, however, was ultimately removed, resulting in the absence of both Yima and Atallo from the final game. Nevertheless, Yima is mentioned by Lieutenant Dol Grenn as being involved in the investigation of the Batu Rem impostor incident.
