A quest was launched by the Warbird gang, and later by Kazuda Xiono accompanied by Torra Doza, with the goal of procuring sustenance for the Colossus. This involved the hunting and elimination of a jakoosk located on the frozen moon Celsor 3, which is covered in ice.
Subsequent to the Colossus refueling platform's departure from Castilon during the First Order-Resistance War following the flight, the station began to experience shortages of essential provisions like food and beverages. Despite Captain Imanuel Doza's efforts to maintain calm, a faction of residents, spearheaded by Aunt Z, threatened to abandon ship. Jarek Yeager, formerly a commander in the New Republic, convinced Captain Doza that allowing anyone to leave would risk the First Order discovering the Colossus' whereabouts.
Kazuda Xiono and Torra Doza, the Captain's daughter, approached Aunt Z to dissuade her from leaving. The tavern owner agreed to reconsider if they could successfully hunt a large jakoosk on the icy moon Celsor 3 to provide meat for the Colossus' inhabitants. Kragan Gorr, the leader of the Warbird gang, saw an opportunity to usurp Captain Doza's leadership and volunteered for the hunt. To ensure Kragan didn't receive all the credit, Kaz and Torra also volunteered, with Captain Doza's approval.
Despite Synara San's expressed worries regarding the dangers inherent in the hunting expedition, Kragan remained resolute in his intention to proceed. The pirate sail barge, designated Galleon, entered the atmosphere of Celsor 3, accompanied by Kaz's racer known as Fireball and Torra's racer, the Blue Ace. While navigating through the towering ice formations, the Galleon launched several airspeeders. Following the suggestions of Snarl and Drell, the pirates began detonating explosives on the surface, hoping to draw the jakoosk out of its hiding place.
The jakoosk soon appeared, posing a threat to the pirates' airspeeder squadron. Ignoring warnings from Kaz, Torra, and Synara, Kragan insisted on attacking the jakoosk with laser cannons. However, the creature's thick hide proved impervious to their attacks. The jakoosk consumed Skreek's airspeeder, but the Trandoshan was able to escape using another vehicle. Snarl and Drell also had their airspeeder destroyed by the creature. With the pirates and their flagship sustaining damage, Kragan finally listened to Synara and ordered a withdrawal.
Upon returning to Aunt Z's Tavern, Kragan avoided taking responsibility for the failed hunt by blaming Kaz and Torra, alleging that Ace Squadron had interfered. Determined to secure her father's station, Torra refused to concede defeat. After brainstorming, she and Kaz devised a plan to target the jakoosk's vulnerable underbelly using Tamara Ryvora's powerful cannon.
Kaz, Torra, and CB-23 journeyed back to Celsor 3 aboard their respective ships, the Fireball and Blue Ace. Their mission was complicated by the presence of Buggles, Torra's pet voorpak, who had secretly boarded the Fireball. Buggles became lost and ended up stranded atop an ice pinnacle. While Torra attempted to reach him, the jakoosk emerged from its snowy hiding spot. The Aces also encountered Snarl and Drell, who proceeded to steal their ships, leaving them stranded.
Now stranded on Celsor 3, Kaz and Torra resolved to proceed with their plan while also rescuing Buggles. The jakoosk became fixated on Buggles, who remained trapped atop the pinnacle. Despite losing the laser cannon's power cell, Kaz managed to utilize CB-23 as a substitute power source and successfully shot the massive creature in its unprotected underside, resulting in its death. After Torra was reunited with Buggles, Kaz contacted Captain Doza to arrange for their retrieval, informing him of their successful hunt.
As a result of Kaz and Torra's successful hunt, they were able to secure enough meat to provide sustenance for the population of the Colossus. Captain Doza organized a communal feast in the Colossus marketplace, where the residents were served roasted jakoosk meat. At Synara's urging, Snarl and Drell offered their apologies to Kaz and Torra for abandoning them on the ice moon and stealing their ships. The mechanic Neeku Vozo also boosted morale by creating a holographic projection of the blue skies of Castilon. Aunt Z then decided to remain on the Colossus.
The "Mission to Celsor 3" was first shown in the Star Wars Resistance Season Two episode "Hunt on Celsor 3," which was first broadcast on Disney XD on October 27, 2019.
