Geezum

In the year 4 BBY, the Snivvian male known as Geezum was present inside the palace belonging to the Hutt crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure, which was located on the planet Tatooine. At this time, the Max Rebo Band was performing the song "Jedi Rocks". While the band entertained the court, Geezum occupied one of the throne room's booths alongside the bounty hunter Amanaman and the accountant Tessek. After the performance, Jabba demanded a repeat performance.

However, the second performance was interrupted when the enslaved dancer Oola rebuffed the Hutt's advances. In response, the crime lord cast her into the pit situated beneath the throne room. Many members of the court eagerly watched as Jabba's pet rancor, Pateesa, devoured her. Subsequently, blaster fire emanating from the throne room's entryway captured their attention. The source was revealed to be Princess Leia Organa, disguised as the bounty hunter Boushh, who entered with the Wookiee Chewbacca as her prisoner. After negotiating a price with Jabba for the bounty on Chewbacca using a thermal detonator, Organa agreed to the terms. However, she was later captured by Jabba after freeing the smuggler Han Solo from his carbonite encasement.

Later on, he was present when Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker killed the criminal's rancor pet, Pateesa, after Jabba attempted to feed the Jedi to the creature. Geezum stood in the palace throne room as Skywalker was dragged from the rancor pit, standing before Jabba with his Rebel allies Han Solo and Chewbacca, who had been imprisoned within the Hutt's dungeons.

Jabba condemned the three prisoners to death, decreeing that they would be fed to the sarlacc residing in the Dune Sea. Subsequently, Geezum accompanied Jabba and a significant portion of his court aboard the Hutt's personal sail barge Khetanna to witness the executions. During the barge's journey, Geezum stood at one of its windows, engaged in conversation with the Ugnaught Yoxgit and the human guard Fozec. As the trio conversed, the protocol droid C-3PO, serving as the Hutt's translator, inadvertently bumped into the astromech droid R2-D2 in front of them, causing several drinks that the astromech was serving to the barge's passengers to spill.

Upon reaching the Great Pit of Carkoon, the dwelling place of the sarlacc, Geezum positioned himself behind Jabba and his slave, Princess Leia Organa, as the Hutt offered Skywalker and his allies a final opportunity to plead for their lives. Before he could be forced into the pit, the Jedi skillfully overpowered the guards aboard the Bantha-II cargo skiff on which he was being transported, utilizing his lightsaber that R2 had secretly been carrying for him. Organa capitalized on the distraction by closing the barge's shutters, plunging Geezum and the other passengers into darkness.

As the Snivvian frantically scurried around the barge amidst the chaos alongside the other members of the court, Organa strangled Jabba with her chains. Subsequently, Skywalker managed to board the Khetanna and, in collaboration with Organa, destroyed it before escaping with the remainder of his allies.

Geezum was a Snivvian with sociopathic tendencies, characterized by fair skin, brown hair, and black eyes.

While on Tatooine, Geezum was attired in white shirt and pants, complemented by a brown scarf, gloves, and boots. He also wore a black belt and an orange Bandolier.

Peter Allen played Geezum in the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. The filming of the palace throne room scenes took place between January 25 and February 8, 1982, on Stage 8 at Elstree Studios, while the sail barge interior shots were filmed on Stage 9 between February 9 and February 11. Within the current Star Wars canon, the character was first identified in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia. The name Geezum originated within the Star Wars Legends continuity, initially appearing on a card in the 1998 "Jabba's Palace Limited" card set for the Star Wars Customizable Card Game, released by Decipher.
