Sakas was a female soldier of the Mikkian species who fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War. Serving within the Rebel Alliance Special Forces unit known as the Pathfinders, she was under the command of General Han Solo. Following the Battle of Endor, she was present at a celebration on the moon of Endor honoring his impending wedding.
Subsequently, the Mikkian warrior fought alongside Sergeant Kes Dameron during the raid at the Wretch of Tayron. In the midst of combat, she and Dameron were responsible for the destruction of an All Terrain Scout Transport; its subsequent crash caused a breach in the outer defenses of the Imperial Security Bureau base that the Pathfinders were attacking. This allowed the Pathfinders to infiltrate the base, where they hacked into the Imperial network and uncovered critical Imperial intelligence. This included the details of Operation: Cinder, a potentially devastating Imperial offensive planned against numerous planets throughout the galaxy.
During the Galactic Civil War, Sakas, a female Mikkian, served as a soldier within the Alliance to Restore the Republic, fighting against the Galactic Empire. She was a member of the Pathfinders, a Rebel Alliance Special Forces unit that was under the command of General Han Solo.
In the year 4 ABY, the Alliance dealt a significant blow to the Empire during the Battle of Endor, successfully destroying the second Death Star superweapon and defeating the Emperor Palpatine. Following this pivotal battle, Sakas was present at a celebration in Bright Tree Village on the Forest Moon of Endor, which was held in anticipation of Solo's upcoming wedding to Princess Leia Organa. General Lando Calrissian, failing to recognize the Mikkian, initially attempted to prevent her from entering the gathering. However, Sakas confidently brushed past him and quickly consumed a wooden cup filled with tsiraki, a potent alcoholic drink. Impressed by Sakas' actions, Calrissian observed her as Solo complimented the Mikkian, remarking on her capabilities and offering a smile.
In that same year, Sakas, as a member of the Pathfinders, took part in a raid targeting an Imperial Security Bureau black site located at the Wretch of Tayron within the Outer Rim Territories. Prior to the commencement of the raid, the Pathfinders strategically positioned themselves throughout the area. Sakas, as part of Strike Four of the strike team, was stationed alongside Sergeant Kes Dameron on a ridge overlooking the base, where they prepared to launch a missile at their designated target. Once all teams had confirmed their readiness, Solo issued the order to initiate the attack.
Dameron launched the missile, targeting an All Terrain Scout Transport positioned within the base's perimeter. The resulting explosion and crash created an opening in the wall. Sakas and Dameron promptly reported the breach to Solo and proceeded to charge through the opening, engaging the Imperial forces within. Together, they successfully eliminated several stormtroopers, [scout troopers](/article/scout_trooper], and destroyed a 74-Z speeder bike. When a scout trooper nearly ambushed Dameron, Sakas shouted a warning, alerting him to the impending danger. Chewbacca, Solo's Wookiee companion, arrived just in time to save the sergeant.
Shortly after, Solo and the remaining Pathfinders arrived, and the team regrouped to await the arrival of their protocol droid, C-3PO, who was tasked with hacking into the Imperial computers. Upon the droid's arrival, the Pathfinders entered the base, battling their way through the remaining Imperial forces. They confronted the base's commander, who attempted to escape to the installation's computer network in order to erase its data before the rebel team could access it. However, the commanding officer surrendered when confronted, and the Pathfinders successfully secured the base.
Sakas was present in the base's command center when C-3PO successfully hacked into the computers and uncovered classified Imperial information. This included the discovery of Operation: Cinder, an Imperial contingency order that designated numerous planets throughout the galaxy as targets for retribution following the Emperor's death. The actions of Sakas and the Pathfinders at the Wretch of Tayron provided the Alliance with the opportunity to counteract Operation: Cinder and thwart the Imperial attacks as they were launched, including those targeting the Emperor's homeworld of Naboo.
Sakas possessed a confident and bold personality, demonstrating a willingness to engage in perilous missions as a member of the Pathfinders. She was well-regarded by her commanding officer, Han Solo, and shared a compatible working relationship with Kes Dameron during their joint operation at the Wretch of Tayron. Sakas impressed Calrissian with her rapid consumption of tsiraki, especially when she poured herself a second cup immediately after finishing the first. The Mikkian was characterized by her pink skin and blue eyes.
During the raid at the Wretch of Tayron, Sakas wore a standard Pathfinder uniform, consisting of tan pants, a brown jacket, a belt equipped with pouches, and brown boots. She was armed with an A280 blaster rifle during the operation.
Sakas made her debut appearance in the third issue of the Star Wars: Shattered Empire comic-book miniseries. The issue, penned by Greg Rucka, was published by Marvel Comics on October 14, 2015. The scenes featuring Sakas were illustrated by Marco Checchetto.
