Fortnite, a video game created and distributed by Epic Games, has featured Star Wars content in several updates. This began with the Fortnite X Star Wars event in the Battle Royale mode, which was intended to promote Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker from December 14, 2019 to January 7, 2020. Since that time, Star Wars cosmetic items have been introduced at various points, and Fortnite has presented full Star Wars limited-time events like "Find the Force" and "Skywalker Week." As Fortnite has evolved into a gaming platform and introduced new game modes (specifically Fortnite Festival, LEGO Fortnite, and Rocket Racing), these modes have also received special Star Wars content. Some Star Wars cosmetic items can also be used in the Save the World and Creative game modes.
Within the game Fortnite, an alternative version of the Star Wars universe functions as a reality adjacent to the multiple realities where the game's modes are set, and it intersects with these realities. This makes the Star Wars universe one of the many realities that originated from the Zero Point, linking it to the game's broader narrative. The Star Wars reality previously crossed over with Reality Zero until the latter's destruction during the events of The Big Bang.
The Fortnite X Star Wars event took place between December 14, 2019, and January 7, 2020. Its purpose was to promote Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, the third and final film in the sequel trilogy, which was released on December 20, 2019. The crossover event was initially announced on December 8, and on December 12, the first Star Wars cosmetic items were launched as skins for Finn, Rey, and a Sith trooper.

Chapter 2: Season 5 started on December 2, 2020, and ended on March 15, 2021. While not primarily focused on Star Wars, the season featured content from The Mandalorian, including a cosmetic skin for Din Djarin. Players had the opportunity to complete challenges to upgrade his standard armor to the beskar armor seen in the show. A Grogu pet and the Razor Crest were also obtainable. Users who made a purchase during the season's first month were eligible for two complimentary months of Disney+. This marked the second Star Wars crossover with Epic Games, following the Fortnite X Star Wars event.

Chapter 3: Season 1, called Flipped, began on December 5, 2021, and finished on March 19, 2022. This season included Star Wars content, such as cosmetic skins for Boba Fett, Krrsantan, and Fennec Shand, all based on their appearances in the Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett.
Chapter 3: Season 2, called Resistance, started on March 20, 2022, and concluded on June 4, 2022. Some Star Wars content was included in this season, such as the Obi-Wan Kenobi cosmetic skin, the return of the Lightsabers Mythic weapon along with Obi-Wan Kenobi's third lightsaber, and the E-11 medium blaster rifle.
Chapter 3: Season 3, called Vibin', began on June 5, 2022, and concluded on September 17, 2022. The season included Star Wars content, such as the Darth Vader cosmetic skin, a Viper probe droid back-bling, and the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, all of which were part of the Battle Pass.
On June 21, 2022, Vader was introduced as a Boss at a random location. Defeating him would result in his lightsaber being dropped, which could be used as a melee weapon or thrown at other players. Stormtroopers guarded him at the Imperial base. Vader had the ability to use Force pull, Force push, and [Force leap](/article/force_jump] on players.

Chapter 3: Season 4, called Paradise, began on September 18, 2022, and concluded on December 3, 2022. The season's Star Wars content included the "Skywalker Week" event, which occurred from October 18 to November 8, 2022. This event brought back the Darth Vader Boss encounter and reintroduced the Lightsabers and E-11 Blaster Rifle Mythic weapons. Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, and Han Solo were added to the Item Shop as cosmetic skins, and the Junk Rift item was brought back, with a chance to drop an X-34 landspeeder on opponents.

Chapter 4: Season 2, called Mega, began on March 10, 2023, and concluded on June 8, 2023. The season's Star Wars content notably included the "Find the Force" event, which occurred from May 2 to May 23, 2023, at 9 AM ET. The event featured the addition of the Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, 501st Trooper, and 212th Trooper cosmetic skins to the Item Shop. Players could complete "Find the Force" Quests to earn Galactic Reputation and unlock cosmetic and in-game rewards. The free Reward Track included a basic Clone Trooper skin, and there was an option to purchase the Premium Reward Track, which included the Wolf Pack Trooper, Ahsoka's Clone Trooper, and Darth Maul skins. Purchasing the Premium Reward Track automatically unlocked the Coruscant Guard skin. The "Find the Force" Quests were structured as a trilogy and epilogue, mirroring the prequel trilogy. The first set of Quests, called "The Force Within," launched with the event, followed by "Begun the Clone Wars Have" on May 7, "Fall of the Republic" on May 12, and "The First Galactic Empire" on May 17. Completing twelve Quests in each set earned players a Sith Holocron, and earning three Holocrons unlocked the Sith Infiltrator. The event-specific gameplay in Battle Royale featured appearances of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Maul in hologram form on the Island. If players accepted, they would enter each character's Rift Gate and receive one of three Lightsaber Mythic weapons, which also granted Force abilities. The DC-15A blaster rifle was introduced as a new Mythic weapon, obtainable from Republic Chests across the Island.

Chapter 4: Season 4, called Last Resort, began on August 25, 2023, and concluded on November 3, 2023. The Battle Pass for the season included Ahsoka Tano as an unlockable skin. Players could unlock it by completing special Ahsoka Tano Quests that were available for Battle Pass owners starting September 26 and lasting through the rest of the season. Ahsoka also appeared on the Island in hologram form as a trainer, similar to Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Darth Maul during the "Find the Force" event. Accepting Ahsoka's training and entering her Rift Gate would grant players the Jedi Training Lightsaber Mythic weapon and allow them to use special Force abilities.

A Star Wars Day celebration event was initiated throughout the Fortnite universe on May 3, 2024, and will end on May 14, 2024. Marking the first Star Wars collaboration since the release of the LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing game modes on the Fortnite platform, the event brought Star Wars content to all of these modes in addition to Battle Royale. Each mode featured unique Star Wars Quests that could be completed for rewards.
In LEGO Fortnite, a new "Rebel Adventure" was introduced, bringing the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire to the LEGO world. Players could support the Rebels by constructing the Rebel Village and defending it against the Empire using the new Lightsaber, Bowcaster, DL-44 Blaster, E-11 Blaster, and Thermal Detonator weapons. The "Rebel Adventure" LEGO Pass included unlockable rewards, including Star Wars-themed LEGO builds and the exclusive new Chewbacca outfit obtained through the Premium Reward Track.
In Battle Royale, Chewbacca was added to the Island, where he was captured by the Empire. Players could rescue Chewbacca by visiting a specific Imperial Roadblock on the Island, which changed with each match. Upon freeing Chewbacca, he would join you in battle as a follower, using his Bowcaster weapon and giving you your own Wookie Bowcaster Mythic weapon as a reward for freeing him. The Mythic weapon was also available from Imperial Chests located at the Imperial Roadblocks across the Island. The Darth Vader Boss encounter, along with Darth Vader's Lightsaber and E-11 Blaster Mythic weapons, also returned.
In Fortnite Festival, "Cantina Band" by John Williams and the London Symphony Orchestra was added as a playable Jam Track. The Jam Stage was transformed to resemble the Mos Eisley Cantina, and completing seven of the mode's Star Wars Quests would award players with a Seven-string Hallikset guitar.
In Rocket Racing, completing May the Fourth Quests and Star Wars Quests would unlock the Anakin's Podracer and Darth Maul vehicle decals and the Energy Binders trail.
In addition, a variety of Star Wars cosmetic items were added to the Item Shop, including the Dagobah Luke, Lando Calrissian, and AWR Trooper skins, the Beskar car body, including decals based on Din Djarin, The Armorer, Boba Fett, Bo-Katan Kryze, and Sabine Wren, and the Endorian Drum Kit and Nalargon Keytar instruments.
