Rescue on the Colossus

During the occupation of the Colossus refueling station by the First Order, Kazuda Xiono, a Resistance spy, and Torra Doza undertook a daring rescue mission to free Hype Fazon, Aunt Z, and numerous other individuals who had been captured by the First Order.

Prelude

Following the First Order's involvement in rescuing Torra Doza from the clutches of the Warbird pirate group, Captain Imanuel Doza permitted the First Order to take control of the Colossus platform, with the stated goal of safeguarding it from pirate attacks. Unbeknownst to many, the First Order had orchestrated Torra's kidnapping as a calculated maneuver to persuade Doza to accept their so-called protection. While some residents, such as mechanic and former racer Tamara Ryvora, embraced the sense of security that came with the First Order's presence, others, including Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono and former New Republic starfighter pilot Jarek Yeager, recognized the First Order as a looming threat to freedom.

In addition to verifying the identities of the Colossus' inhabitants, the First Order harbored plans to establish a larger garrison and to expel any citizens deemed a potential danger to their regime. As time progressed, Commander Pyre exerted pressure on Captain Doza, ultimately leading to the cancellation of all future races under the guise of security concerns. Furthermore, he grounded Ace Squadron, viewing the racers and part-time aerial defense team as a liability. This decision sparked widespread discontent among the Colossus' citizens, as racing held significant economic and social importance.

As part of their campaign against "hostile" citizens, the First Order apprehended Ace Squadron leader Hype Fazon, tavern owner Aunt Z, the Snivvian Nod, and the Aleena Grevel. Fazon's arrest stemmed from his confrontation with stormtroopers who were impounding his racer, the Green Ace. Aunt Z was taken into custody for openly criticizing the First Order and protesting the presence of First Order propaganda posters. Meanwhile, Grevel was detained for assaulting a stormtrooper by kicking him in the shin. The four were confined within a shipping container, awaiting their scheduled deportation offworld.

The rescue

Following Hype's disappearance, his friend Torra sought Kaz's assistance in locating him. She vehemently rejected the First Order's official explanation that Hype had departed offworld without bidding farewell to his friends. Together, they resolved to infiltrate Doza Tower to ascertain whether Hype's ship remained there. With the aid of CB-23, Kaz and Torra successfully diverted the attention of the stormtrooper sentries by using a crate of gorgs.

Upon entering Hype's hangar, they discovered that his racer, the Green Ace, was still present but secured by magnetic locks. Recalling Hype's anger towards the First Order for grounding his squadron, Torra and Kaz deduced that Hype had fallen out of favor with the First Order. Returning to Aunt Z's Tavern, Torra and Kaz noticed Aunt Z's absence and realized that the First Order was making dissidents "disappear."

Kaz and Torra sought out Yeager to share their findings. They found him in discussion with Captain Doza, who verified that the First Order was indeed detaining dissidents in the West Docks. Doza and Yeager had convened to strategize on how to dismantle the First Order's communication blockade over the Colossus. With CB-23's assistance, Kaz and Torra navigated their way to the West Docks, where they located their friends confined within a crate.

Kaz devised a plan to liberate the dissidents by commandeering a First Order Atmospheric Assault Lander. As the stormtroopers escorted the prisoners to the transport, Kaz and Torra launched an ambush. With the combined efforts of Hype and Aunt Z, they managed to subdue the stormtrooper sentries. Aunt Z then departed with the other dissidents aboard the transport, heading towards the planet Takodana, where she had a trusted friend.

Aftermath

Kaz, CB-23, and Torra subsequently returned home. Upon arriving at Jarek Yeager's Repair Station, Kaz and CB-23 were confronted by Pyre and his troopers, who had also detained the other members of Team Fireball. Doza announced their arrest for conspiring against the First Order. He then presented evidence that the racer Fireball had violated First Order space.

Kaz, Yeager, CB-23, Neeku Vozo, and Bucket successfully escaped into the lower levels. However, Tam, who sympathized with the First Order, offered no resistance and was taken into custody. She was interrogated by First Order Security Bureau Agent Tierny, who sought to gain her trust by sowing discord between her, Kaz, and Yeager. In the meantime, Kaz, Yeager, and the others embarked on a mission to establish contact with the Resistance.
