Oron Jaeger

Oron Jaeger was a general of the Human male persuasion within the ranks of the Fel Empire during the Sith–Imperial War. As the conflict drew to a close, Darth Krayt, a Sith Lord, deposed Roan Fel and proclaimed himself Emperor. Jaeger, alongside the 501st Legion of stormtroopers, outwardly displayed fealty to Krayt's Empire, but secretly remained loyal to Fel's Empire-in-exile. In the year 137 ABY, amidst the Second Imperial Civil War, Jaeger found himself on the planet of Bastion when Fel made his return and retook the Imperial fortress, with the general offering a welcome to the exiled Emperor upon his arrival.

Some months thereafter, following the Empire-in-exile's forging of an alliance with the Galactic Alliance Remnant, under the leadership of Admiral Gar Stazi, the Sith–Imperials initiated a poisoning of the world Dac through the deployment of viral spores, leading to its near-total destruction within a single week. Jaeger lent assistance to Stazi and his forces in the evacuation efforts on Dac, contributing to the rescue of approximately twenty percent of the planet's inhabitants.

Biography

Fall of Bastion

As a Human male, Oron Jaeger was a stormtrooper serving the Fel Empire in the years preceding the Sith–Imperial War. He eventually attained the rank of general, simultaneously commanding the 501st Legion of stormtroopers—an elite unit with origins tracing back to the Clone Wars, which transpired over a century before. In his capacity as the 501st Legion's commander, Jaeger demonstrated a knack for organization and movement-based tactics, earning recognition for maintaining a constant "bird's-eye view" of the battlefield, even in the heat of combat.

Jaeger and Emperor Roan Fel on Bastion

During the Sith–Imperial War, a conflict pitting Fel's Empire against the Galactic Alliance, Jaeger was involved in a conflict on the planet Corulag, sustaining a head injury. Prior to his return to active service, Jaeger opted for a neural interface cybernetic implant, enabling constant communication with his central command. In 130 ABY, as the war concluded, Darth Krayt, the Dark Lord of the Sith, usurped the Imperial throne from Emperor Roan Fel. At the time, Jaeger was on the Imperial stronghold of Bastion, leading a contingent of soldiers, where he publicly swore allegiance to Krayt's Galactic Empire. However, he and the 501st Legion secretly remained loyal to Emperor Fel, maintaining tenuous contact with him from Bastion for the next seven years. Following the Emperor's instructions, Jaeger initiated a gradual rotation of troops loyal to Fel onto Bastion.

In 137 ABY, amidst the Second Imperial Civil War, Fel returned to Bastion with the intention of reclaiming the planet as the center of his Empire-in-exile. Upon arrival, he was met by Lieutenant Kiefer, who ordered his stormtroopers to apprehend Fel. When the soldiers refused, Kiefer attempted to execute Fel, but Jaeger intervened, ordering one of his troopers to eliminate the Lieutenant. Jaeger then welcomed Fel to Bastion, assuring the Emperor that all forces loyal to him were present on the planet, with the exception of the 908th Stormtrooper Division. Shortly thereafter, Jaeger received information from Imperial contacts on Socorro regarding the destruction of the planet's Imperial Mission, the disappearance of Fel's daughter, Princess Marasiah Fel, and the death of her bodyguard, Elke Vetter. After sharing this news with Fel, the Imperial Knights Antares Draco and Ganner Krieg volunteered to rescue the Princess, but Fel forbade them from doing so. Ignoring the Emperor's orders, Draco and Krieg ultimately succeeded in rescuing Princess Fel. During this period, Emperor Fel and Jaeger began strategizing to overthrow Darth Krayt and his Empire, with Jaeger continuing to collaborate with Fel over the subsequent months.

Evacuation of Dac

Some months later, Fel's Empire-in-exile established an agreement with the Galactic Alliance Remnant, under the command of Admiral Gar Stazi, to oppose Krayt's Empire. When Fel departed Bastion to confer with representatives of the Jedi Order on Agamar, Jaeger engaged in communication with Stazi. Stazi requested assistance for the evacuation of the planet Dac, which had been infected by the Sith with a lethal pathogen poised to eradicate all life within a week. During their exchange, Jaeger cautioned that Stazi was being lured into a trap by the Sith–Imperials, asserting that he could not provide aid to Stazi's forces without the Emperor's authorization, thus compelling Stazi to act independently.

Nevertheless, Jaeger personally assumed command of a strike force comprising Pellaeon-class Star Destroyers, positioning them one hyperspace jump away from Dac, awaiting the Emperor's command to engage. Upon receiving Fel's consent, Jaeger and his fleet immediately emerged from hyperspace to assist Stazi in confronting the Outer Rim Third Fleet, which was loyal to Krayt's Empire. The arrival of Jaeger's forces prompted the Sith–Imperials to withdraw from the battle. As the Sith–Imperials fled from Dac, Jaeger informed Stazi of his intention to pursue the escaping ships; however, Stazi requested that all available shuttles under Jaeger's command be redirected to aid civilians awaiting rescue on Dac's surface, a request to which Jaeger acquiesced. The combined efforts of the Alliance and Fel–Imperial forces resulted in the successful rescue of nearly 20 percent of Dac's population.

Personality and traits

General Oron Jaeger

Oron Jaeger dedicated his existence to the service of the Fel Empire, exhibiting unwavering loyalty to its leader, Emperor Roan Fel. Following Darth Krayt's seizure of the Imperial throne from Fel, Jaeger and his subordinate soldiers outwardly displayed allegiance to the Sith Lord's newly formed Empire. He prioritized maintaining contact with Emperor Fel, and he strategically rotated Imperial forces loyal to Fel to Bastion in order to amass a substantial military force capable of supporting Fel.

Jaeger firmly believed in the critical importance of the alliance between the Fel loyalists and the Galactic Alliance Remnant for defeating the Sith. During his conversation with Admiral Gar Stazi concerning the evacuation of Dac, he conveyed his conviction that the eradication of the Sith held greater significance than the destruction of Dac and its inhabitants. Nevertheless, Jaeger proactively positioned a fleet of Star Destroyers one hyperspace jump away from Dac, awaiting Fel's authorization to assist the Alliance in their evacuation efforts. Possessing dark skin, black hair, and brown eyes, he was fluent in both speaking and understanding Basic, and he also possessed an understanding of Binary.

Equipment

Jaeger was equipped with a blaster pistol and a code cylinder, and he donned the uniform of a Moff. His cybernetic implant featured an integrated comlink and data links, affording him the ability to disseminate orders at a faster rate than most military commanders.
