Eno Cordova was a human male Jedi Master, a member of the Jedi Order, known for his scholarly pursuits and work as an archaeologist. He possessed a profound fascination with the ancient societies scattered throughout the galaxy. As a teacher, Cordova guided the training of Cere Junda, and he also shared a close bond with Qui-Gon Jinn, considering him a friend and ally. His first encounter with the ruins of a temple on the planet Ontotho sparked an all-consuming interest in the Zeffonians. During the period of the Clone Wars, while meditating within an ancient vault located on Bogano, Cordova experienced a vision foretelling the fall of the Jedi Order.
In an effort to safeguard the Jedi's future, he concealed a holocron inside the Bogano Vault. This holocron contained information about the locations of all Force-sensitive children. Furthermore, he entrusted his droid, BD-1, with all the knowledge he had accumulated during his travels, in the hopes that Junda or another Jedi would take up his cause if he were to fail. Cordova ultimately survived the events of Order 66 and sought refuge in the Unknown Regions, with the intention of discovering any remaining traces of the Zeffo civilization.
However, after his initial quest proved unsuccessful, Cordova shifted his focus to locating other survivors. He eventually reunited with his former Padawan, Cere Junda, and together, alongside the Narkis Anchorites, they established a hidden sanctuary within the Narkis Desert on Jedha. This sanctuary became a crucial part of the Hidden Path, an organization dedicated to smuggling Force-sensitive individuals and Jedi away from the reach of the Galactic Empire. Cordova's life was ultimately cut short when he was murdered by Bode Akuna, who betrayed the group by informing the Empire of the presence of the cache on Jedha.
Eno Cordova's journey began when he was brought to Coruscant at a young age. There, he underwent training by the Jedi Order to master the ways of the Force, learning to wield it as an ally alongside his blue-bladed lightsaber. Upon his arrival, Cordova encountered the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn, who gave him a tour of the Jedi Temple, helping him familiarize himself with the environment, and they developed a close friendship. Cordova also had the pleasure of meeting Jedi Master Yaddle, whose company he greatly enjoyed. He described her as a strong-willed individual with a peculiar sense of humor, and someone who trained with more dedication than anyone Jaro Tapal, his fellow Jedi Master, had ever known. Driven by a passion for ancient history and a thirst for exploration, Cordova's service to the Order and the Republic took him to numerous worlds throughout the galaxy, where he interacted with diverse cultures and species. Among his many contacts was the Wookiee chieftain Tarfful of Kashyyyk. After gaining recognition as a knowledgeable scholar, Cordova was elevated to the rank of Jedi Master and accepted Cere Junda as his Padawan.
While instructing Junda, she would listen attentively as Cordova recounted tales of Jedi artifacts, carefully preserved and passed down to safeguard the teachings and mythology of the Jedi Order, which were essential for their inheritance by future generations.
Leading up to the Clone Wars, the Jedi High Council tasked Cordova and Junda with overseeing the excavation of a temple located on Ontotho. However, their mission was disrupted when they became embroiled in a battle between the Fylar Freedom Fighters and local security forces.
Driven by rumors and legends, Cordova's pursuit of the Zeffo led him to their ancient home world, Zeffo, where he eventually discovered a towering structure that served as the final resting place of the Zeffo Sage Eilram. Within the depths of the tomb, Cordova discovered clues that suggested the Zeffo had once journeyed to Kashyyyk. With this information in hand, Cordova sought the wisdom of his old friend Tarfful to unravel the mystery.

While exploring an ancient Zeffonian temple, Cordova experienced a vision of the fall of the Jedi Order and immediately returned to Coruscant to alert the Jedi Council. However, none of the Council members were convinced and dismissed his vision. The only member of the Order who believed him was Jocasta Nu, his trusted confidante from his time at the Jedi Temple. Nu accessed the Archives and created a copy of a holocron containing a list of all Force-sensitive children throughout the galaxy, entrusting it to Cordova for safekeeping. Cordova concealed the holocron within a Zeffo Vault on Bogano, a relatively unexplored planet where it would be shielded from the Galactic Empire.
Cordova's vision eventually came to pass when the Jedi Order was decimated in 19 BBY with the execution of Order 66 and the commencement of the Great Jedi Purge, which also marked the transformation of the Republic into the Galactic Empire. Having reached the end of the Zeffonians' trail and failing to locate them, Cordova resolved to find other Jedi survivors. He eventually encountered his former apprentice, Cere Junda, within the first decade of the Imperial Era. Together, they embarked on a mission to recover knowledge from the Jedi Temple's Archives on Coruscant, which had been relocated to the moon Jedha. They also began collaborating with the Hidden Path, a network established to assist Force-sensitive beings persecuted by the Empire. Junda informed Cordova about her friend Cal Kestis, a Jedi survivor with whom Junda had teamed up, and who was also accompanied by Cordova's old droid companion, BD-1. Cordova also had the opportunity to meet Merrin, a Nightsister and friend of Junda and Kestis, who occasionally visited Junda on Jedha. Cordova mentioned that he enjoyed the tea Merrin would bring back as a gift from her travels. During his early days on Jedha, before the Empire's presence expanded on the moon, Cordova explored an ancient site built by those who revered Force users, finding the experience captivating. Later, Cordova would suggest to Kestis that he visit the place as well.
In 9 BBY, Cordova was reunited with BD-1 when he and Kestis traveled to Jedha to meet with Junda. Cordova expressed his honor in meeting Kestis, acknowledging his progress in the face of adversity, and stating that BD-1 had chosen a worthy companion. He admired Cal's bravery and devotion to his closest friends, cautioning him that the Empire would distort their actions, no matter how noble, to serve their own purposes.
Kestis was searching for Tanalorr, a long-lost world, which was also the objective of Dagan Gera, a former Jedi from the era of the High Republic Era who had been preserved in bacta for centuries on the planet Koboh and was freed by Kestis. Cordova reviewed the files and discovered that Gera had a refuge on Koboh and frequented a laboratory built on the planet's moon. His research on Gera also yielded unsettling results, as he noted that Gera felt threatened by the potential loss of his life's work and that his obsession had led him astray. Cordova drew a parallel between Gera's situation and his own vision of the Order's downfall, which the Jedi Council had disregarded. In his arrogance, he felt betrayed and allowed his wounded pride to cloud his judgment. When the Purge began, he was still searching for proof that his vision was accurate instead of being there to support Cere and her padawan Trilla Suduri.
Kestis returned with two compasses that could reveal the path to Tanalorr through the treacherous Koboh Abyss nebula, but both were too damaged to be repaired. However, the records led Cordova to believe that a third compass existed. Following a confrontation with Imperial forces, Kestis departed in search of the final compass.
After a difficult confrontation with Gera, Kestis returned with the last compass, which, despite being damaged during the fight, could be repaired. Along with BD-1, Cordova began repairs throughout that evening - an action that would prove to be his last. The next day, the repairs had been completed, but their hopes were soon dashed. The Empire had discovered the file's location and launched an attack led by Darth Vader. Bode Akuna, an ally of Kestis who had assisted him in acquiring the compass, was revealed to be an Imperial spy working for the Imperial Security Bureau and a Jedi survivor. Akuna had informed the Empire of the archive's location to exploit the chaos and flee with the compass, intending to use it to escape the Empire for good by fleeing to Tanalorr with his daughter. Akuna believed that this was the best course of action for him and his daughter after learning that Kestis intended to use Tanalorr in Hidden Path operations, which, in Akuna's opinion, would significantly increase the risk of the Empire discovering the world. Cordova tried to dissuade Akuna, but Akuna responded by shooting Cordova twice, resulting in his death.
Kestis wrapped Cordova's body, along with Junda's who perished following a duel with Vader, and took them to the Archive hangar, awaiting the arrival of the Mantis, which had helped evacuate many Anchorites from the base following the Imperial raid. When the ship landed and Merrin, Dritus, and BD-1 disembarked, they were immediately overcome with grief upon seeing their fallen friends. Dritus tearfully approached his friend Junda's corpse, unable to speak, and the surviving crew knelt beside the bodies in silent, supportive sorrow.
Following the crew's discovery of Tanalorr and the death of Akuna, a funeral and cremation service was held on the planet. Cordova, Junda, and Akuna were placed on individual pyres, and Merrin used her magick to ignite each one. The crew, now including Kata Akuna, whom Kestis and Merrin had taken under their guidance, paid their respects individually. The surviving Mantis crew vowed to honor Cordova and Junda by continuing their work with the Hidden Path.

Sensing that his life was nearing its end, Cordova had his trusted companion droid BD-1 record video messages detailing his journeys across Bogano, Zeffo, Kashyyyk, and Dathomir. Cordova hoped that these holographic messages would guide a new Jedi to retrieve and unlock the holocron, enabling the Jedi Order to be rebuilt following the Great Jedi Purge. Cordova cautioned that, to prevent the messages from being accessed by the Empire, he would need to encrypt them, which essentially meant that BD-1 would have to lose his memories to protect the information. The droid agreed, and Cordova parted ways with his trusted friend, sending BD to find the savior of the Jedi.
Cordova's former apprentice Cere Junda was eventually captured by the Empire while attempting to lead them away from her own apprentice Trilla Suduri and a group of younglings. During her torture, Cere was forced to reveal their location, but the Empire was particularly interested in any information related to Cordova.
BD-1 eventually encountered Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan who had survived Order 66 by concealing himself as a scrapper on Bracca, when Cere Junda took Cal to the Bogano Vault. BD showed Kestis Cordova's first message and accompanied him on his adventures throughout the galaxy, with each success building trust between the droid and the Jedi, subsequently unlocking more of Cordova's messages.
Trilla Suduri, who had been forcibly transformed into an Inquisitor, had recently confronted Cal and her former master. In her subsequent investigation, she learned of Cal and Cere's quest to find Cordova's holocron. She thus traveled to Zeffo and awaited Kestis in one of the excavated caverns. When confronting him, she revealed her knowledge of his quest and taunted him about the location of the holocron.

Although Akuna escaped and reached Tanalorr, Kestis and his allies also managed to reach the planet, and Akuna was killed in a duel against Kestis and Merrin. With the compass back in his possession and Bode's daughter, Kata Akuna, as the new member of the Mantis crew, a funeral was held for Akuna, Cordova, and Junda, who had been killed by Vader on Jedha, and her body was cremated alongside Cordova and Akuna's bodies.
Cordova considered it a staggering and exhilarating prospect that an abundance of lost knowledge awaited him after spending a lifetime uncovering the mysteries of the Zeffo. He stated that, despite the galaxy being too vast for one mind and one lifetime, he knew that others would take his place exploring when he was gone.

In the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Tony Amendola provides the voice and likeness for Eno Cordova. The design team at Respawn Entertainment considered various unconventional visual elements for Cordova's attire but ultimately chose clothing that resembled the classic Jedi aesthetic. Some early concepts portrayed him as a Cerean. Amy Fry created the concept art for Eno Cordova.
